Super nice hosts, there were separate bathrooms for each room, great location about 10 minutes from the ski slopes. Supermarket and bakery within walking distance, very clean, beautiful view from the rooms, spacious living room to sit together, well equiped kitchen. Can definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in Virgen very much. The road leading up to house is a bit narrow and steep, which could be a problem in snowy conditions. The owners are very nice and friendly.

    It is a small village with more or less any shops you need.

    It is a small village with more or less any shops you need. There are many hiking paths to enjoy and because it is early in the season there are no crowds and bikes around. You have to check the little paths because sometimes the owner of the land just closes the path and you have to make a bigger round. There are castle ruins to be visited, huts and beautiful forest paths with stunning views.

    The town itself is tiny and there is nothing to do (although there is a supermarket, gas station and bakery). But the hiking possibilities are limitless, as are the excursions you can make in the Hohe Tauern area. We also found some nice restaurants in the area.

    The place of the accomodation is amazing, especially for families with little kids like us. You can easily reach the main points and landmarks of Osttirol by car or you can just walk around Virgen. In the town you can also find all the neccesary stuff, esp. swimming pool :-) The house is very comfortable and host were very kind and nice people. Everything from A-Z was perfect. Thank you very much.

    Although the appartment itself is not new, it's cosy, warm and has a lot of space (we slept in the one with 3 bedrooms). The furnitures and equipment again are not so new, but everything is totally sufficient for a one-two week stay. The view from the balcony is absolutely beautiful! The landlords are really kind and helpful! We had no issues and love the stay in Gastehaus Bergwald :)

    A wonderful little guesthouse ran by a very sweet lady who was helpful throughout. She served up a cracking little breakfast each day too. The place was spacious and clean if a little dated.
