I have eaten at many Michelin restaurants and eating here is comparable if not better. It was a joy to go for food every meal. They even have a snack, which is a meal, after the slopes, 3-5. Awesome hotel with great views and rooms and the staff are super.

The staff were so kind and welcoming!! We really enjoyed everything about our stay and how charming it was. The location was also phenomenal, only 12-14mins to the base of the ski mountain. We will be back for sure!

The hotel was great. Lovely large rooms. Good breakfast and 5 course evening meal. Ski hire on site made it very convenient. Great location 50m from lift. Staff were all very friendly. Nina, at reception, was fantastic before and during our stay!

Staying at this hotel was a one-of-a-kind experience—like spending a night in an interactive museum, where you can touch each exhibit and feel like a part of history. You can take unique photos, read old books, and gain insight into what life was like in the castle. The surroundings are peaceful and picturesque, and I loved enjoying the mountain view through the window. Our stay was comfortable—the room was clean and fully equipped, and the breakfast was varied and nourishing. The Wi-Fi was occasionally slow, but it turned out to be a perfect opportunity for a digital detox. While having a car might be more convenient, we traveled by train, and reaching the castle on foot from the nearest station or by bus was not a problem. Overall, my expectations were exceeded, and I highly recommend spending a holiday at Matzen Castle.

Great and very clean room with a very peaceful and beautiful view. Our rooms provided everything we need and also a sauna which was easy to use. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It provides breakfast which is delicious and also you can have dinner there. Special thanks to chef Celal and Omar who were very kind and professionals. Hope to come again soon because our vacations will stay unforgettable!

Hello :) We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Haidachhof, excellent position, fantastic services and outstanding spa experience ( the outdoorpool - hot drinks). Rooms are very cosy, designed to the detail. Hotel’s atmospher is very friendly-family like. We had half -board, but the hotel offers buffe services between 14:00 -17:00 which was amazing with great choice of tasty dishes hot and cold. Breakfasts and dinners are great. Dinner service with lovely presentation of the main dishes and again bufe with wide variety of cold and hot dishes. Thank you and we hope to see you again ❤️ Lucy + Martin
