It is a humble village house in the mountains with amazing hosts. We arrived late but the elderly couple waited for us, sat and talked and made a feast of their homemade produce. It's nothing fancy, but a very authentic experiece that will definitelly become one of the highlights of our trip to Armenia.

The cottage is located high in the mountains, where it's just you. You can go for walks in the area and enjoy the peace and quiet. The owners are very nice, kind and helpful. Such a beautiful location in the nature, I took a walk on the nearby hill every evening with beautiful view on the valley and the fortress. Everything renovated with a lot of love for details. The family is very hospitable and flexible, the mother prepares the best Gata and lovely breakfast and teaches you about Armenian culture and tradition. Everything very clean and comfortable beds! Will come back.

We went to Areni for the wine festival, and had the pleasure of staying here! Amazing family, Martin was extremely nice and helpful and his father gave us a tasting of the wines they make! The location is great, next to a market and an atm. The terrace is also amazing!

The hosts are a husband and wife team that treat you like family the moment you walk through the door. They gave us a full tour of their property, answered many of our questions related to Armenia's history, and even gave us a free bottle of their homemade wine made from the famous Areni grape before we left. Also.. did I mention the location?? The view from our bedroom would have made you think we were in Sedona, except even better it was Armenia! The hotel was right on a beautiful river situated below a huge and gorgeous cliff, it was our own little corner of paradise. The hotel was also situated close to other wineries, restaurants, etc. (one of which we had a private cooking class with!). Lastly, the room itself was super clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room let in great light along with a balcony that allowed us to sit out and enjoy our coffee in the morning while looking out to the river and cliffs. They even had a gym if you wanted to work out! This is definitely where we will be staying when we come back!

this hotel is in a strategic position for visiting the region and for the innumerable monasteries that can be reached easily. It is manegment by a very friendly and hospitable family who advised us where to go for dinner. the rooms are simple with air conditioning, we were also able to do the laundry because there is a small garden to hang out the laundry. breakfast good and plentiful with delicious homemade jams. we highly recommend it
