This small and very modern hotel set in immaculate grounds is an excellent base for exploring the Dilijan National Park. It offers spotless, very comfortable and naturally lit ensuite rooms with views across a wooded valley. The owners go out of their way to be helpful – we were running late and pre-ordered dinner via WhatsApp having been sent photos of the restaurant menu. The timing of the buffet style breakfast, 09.30hrs is not ideal for early starters (we were on a bird watching tour), but when it is served it is both generous and offers excellent choice. We also ate dinner in the restaurant both nights and the freshly prepared meals are first rate with enormous portions. Perhaps many dishes perhaps are best shared to avoid the sizeable “doggy bag” we took for lunch the next day.

I have loooooved everything about this place! If you chose to stay here you know what this hotel is about, so I don't understand the people complaining that it's old. Of course it is, it's how it's supposed to be and I'm very thankful that they did keep the original structure, rooms and facilities. If you want a modern new hotel go somewhere else, staying at this hotel is more of an experience to live and feel back in the old soviet times and also maybe sleep in the same bed as jean paul sartre and simone de beauvoir stayed! the view of the lake is stunning and breathtaking! the owners of the place are very friendly and accomodating. I would 100% come back here :)
