Featuring inner courtyard views, Tiny Houses Unique Tayrona - Dentro del Parque Tayrona features accommodation with patio, around 700 metres from Castilletes Beach. There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. The chalet provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. I was worried at first that this might be the wrong choice, since it’s a bit far from the park entrance and the main hiking trail. But this place turned out to be absolutely magical. I would recommend it to anyone. While sitting outside on the little terrace, I saw so much wildlife right in front of the cabin: two types of monkeys, an agouti, parrots, a sloth, a squirrel, iguanas, tons of birds, and even a snake. The cabin itself is super comfortable. It feels cozy, and the bed is really nice. Also, it’s easy to catch a small shuttle or bus from here to both the main park entrance and the starting point of the hike to Cabo San Juan, which makes it a really convenient base. Truly an unforgettable stay in Tayrona.

The rooms are super clean and comfortable, and the hospitality and warmth of the owner and staff was some of the best we’ve experienced in Colombia. Besides for all that, the cacao tour was amazing!! It’s a must do if you visit - you learn so much about chocolate and I feel like I’ve gained such a new appreciation and understanding for it. It was a 3 hour tour which shows you the full process to produce chocolate and the love and effort which goes into it, as well as a tour of the farm. And not to mention the best part, you get to try lots of delicious chocolate at various stages of the process.

The location of Quetzal Dorado is 17min walking distance from the Zaino Tayrona Entrance, or you can take a bus for 3k pesos (0.67Eur) We have breakfast included, and they were amazing as well as the full staff at the location, which service was top top. The Lodge itself was cleaned at all times. The room was well equipped for a relaxing experience. At dinner, you can have a panoramic view of the park while enjoying the meal. The room we stayed in was beautiful. The place is nice and chilled. The staff was very helpful and kind, they told us great tips for routes and places to get food. The whole place is very cute having a nice swimming pool, beautiful garden and very intimate and not at all crowded natural pools in a river 5min up the path. There is a restaurant next door, called doña Marta, which is a must. Local economic authentic food. Easy to get there with public transport. In conclusion, although it is a 10 min walk from the main road, it was definitely worth taking the time to find the place.

You can see the dedication of the owner on every detail. It has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay. Premium mattress and linens, hot water, tasteful decorations and lots of small details. Yuca restaurant is a few steps away and we enjoyed great breakfast and dinners. Tayrona Park is 10 minutes walking distance.
