Great location, spacious room, beautiful garden full of animals (sloth, monkeys, iguanas). Food is very good (all fresh), Staff is super friendly, with a special mention for all the guides (Juan, Jayjay, Miguel). Fantastic 3 days

Loved it. Location was fabulous. Although you had to get a boat across to the town that was part of the fun. The accommodation, grounds and pool were lovely, the food was good (we ate in both days (which is very unusual for us) and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Great early morning wildlife boat trip with Antonio. Saw and learnt a lot. Big thumbs up and thank you to all the staff from us.

This accommodation is perfect, clean. The owner is very warmth and welcoming. The place was better than our expectation. The beach is less than 5 minutes walking. The bad point is that you need to pay an extra for the air-conditioning. It was like 15 euros for one or two nights. Except that, every is very good !

Nestled at the end of the town San Francisco, Chinitas lodge is a fantastic place to stay if you like local, quiet environment with animals at your doorstep. We were able to see over 5 Toucans just by walking through the local town, and plenty of other birds, frogs and mammals. It is a taxi boat to tortuguero itself (10 minutes) but the local feel and lovely hostsin Chinitas lodge made it worth the stay. You can also book all tours from the reception of the lodge, as they have a great link with the main tour guides in tortuguero.

Whilst you need to get a water taxi, this hotel is completely worth being on the other side of the water. The wildlife is absolutely incredible, with monkeys outside our room and sightings of lots of other animals!

Paisajes del Tortuguero is located in Tortuguero Beach, a common site for turtle hatching. Free WiFi access is available in all areas and Tortuguero National Park is 900 metres away.
