All meals were excellent, served in the wonderful restaurant that has a vaulted ceiling yet is open at ground level. Staff were extremely helpful in arranging transport for us both to and from the hotel. Cannot fault the staff who were friendly and very efficient. Thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful gardens and a lagoon, rich in wildlife and bordering jungle. The free breakfast was delicious and owners were extremely welcoming. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. After learning of our garden back home, Luis even went as far as to provide several hours of free education on his unique, organic composting strategy. His passion was contagious!

Situated in Piedras Blancas, Dolphin Quest Jungle Lodge features free WiFi and river views, a few steps from San Josecito Beach. Some units have a terrace and/or a balcony with sea or mountain views.

This is one of the most stunningly beautiful locations I have ever visited. Staff and food were magnificent! We were in the heart of some of the world’s most exciting wildlife. We felt safe all the time. We were supported to dial up or down our sense of adventure to the level we wanted. Pure paradise!

Cabinas Jimenez offers an outdoor pool and is located right by the beach of the beautiful Gulfo Dulce.

Well, let me just say that this was the best lodging we've had, out of 8 places during 3 weeks in Costa Rica. The location is unbeatable, on a quiet seafront yet just a shot away from the center and the lively waterfront with great restaurants. The offer of free kayaks and bikes is also great, it really extends your local possibilities (without the bikes, we'd never discover the Platanares beach, probably the nicest one we've seen on the Pacific side). John and his family were super helpful, from advising the local attractions right to recommending the great Corcovado tour. And the room was great, with a comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen and superb balcony overlooking the nice pool and the gulf. If you think of staying in or around Puerto Jiménez, this is the place to choose.

The place is beautifully cared for, with a variety of lodging options each set apart from the others. The lidge is a few steps away from the far end of a peaceful and calm beach so generally one is alone there. Also in walking distance of a nice beachfront restaurant/bar. The owner Tomas is very friendly and helpful, as is his assistant Julia. They let me bring my dog! I actually spent 3 nights there, not 1. I will recommend it to friends

We loved staying here! The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The apartment has everything you need. Beautiful space with comfortable bed and A/C, fully equipped kitchen and a hot shower. And a beautiful outdoor space too, with a big garden. We would definitely stay here again!

We weren't sold on the photos of the hotel but the reviews were good, and we were very happy we ended up stayed here! Jeancarlos was fantastic for recommendations and advice about what to do in the area and was super friendly. The room was great, as was the shared kitchen. The photos don't do this place justice, it was lovely and clean and the aircon was fab too. Comfy bed! Well located, a short walk away from the main town and lovely and quiet. Well equipped kitchen with two gas hobs, a big fridge, and a microwave. Plenty of crockery and pans too and everything was very clean.

The food was fresh, local, and delicious. The resort is beautifully landscaped and has a magical quality with all the old-growth trees, art, and cool design. It is a very relaxing place but also offers activities with the free use of boogie boards and surfboards. The staff was very polite and helpful. Everything was wonderful for our family vacation. I love this place and hope to return again. We also spent one night at the Hilton Botanika resort and everyone preferred Iguana Lodge for its authenticity and beauty.
