The stunning sand dunes, breathtaking sunsets, and peaceful atmosphere made this trip magical. Whether it was enjoying traditional food (they had also a lot of vegetarian option), sitting by the campfire under the stars, or experiencing exciting desert activities, every moment was very beautiful.

A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Milky Way Domes features barbecue facilities. The property was built in 2023 and features air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a ski equipment rental service is also available. I loved the big windows and the balcony to sit outside. I got up early to see the stars after the moon set and they were amazing. I could walk out into the sand and see all the tracks left by animals in the night and I watched a dung beetle working on its structure. The morning camel ride was well worth it. The owner served us tea and pointed out constellations at night.

For those times when you'd rather not dine out, you can choose to cook on the barbecue. Hamad and Hassan were very funny and sweet. We had a lovely time by the fire. Hassan cooked great food for dinner and breakfast. Good value compared with some other places considering dinner and breakfast is included. Room is very comfy, we slept great. Good location, feels very cosy. Hamad is Bedouin and he has some beautiful artefacts to show you and talk about. Make sure you bring cash to pay.

We had a transfer from the town to the camp,it was on time and worked perfectly. The tent was clean,comfortable and the temperature was good also during the night. The staff at the camp was extremely helpful,kind and made our stay unforgettable. The dinner and breakfast were also very good. Strongly recommend if you want to have an authentic experience in the desert

Located in Wahiba Sand in the North Eastern province, Wahiba Bedouin Rustic Camp offers eco-friendly accommodations. It features private bathrooms, trekking activities and an authentic bedouin experience. We are very happy that we selected this place to stay. The arrival was convenient, we parked our normal rental car at the base at the end of the asphalt road, enjoyed tea and dates and then took the 4WD car to move to the desert (for a reasonable fee). Already this journey was an interesting experience. The camp in the desert is very nice, it's not very large so you can enjoy the nature/sand near by. There are some dunes next to the camp. Most people go to towards the dunes to enjoy the sunset and sunrise. Breakfast is included and is very good. We also took the dinner and it's really good value. There are some free activities like local cloth, evening fire and goat milking. These activities will keep you busy during your stay. (If you plan to relax and enjoy some quiet time you should spend at least 2 nights.) Our family tent was big with many beds, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a private bathroom next to the tent. There's also some WiFi and mobile signal. There's light in the tent and electrical sockets in the main building. Free coffee/tea/water is a nice bonus.
