We picked him up and drove out to his camp not knowing what to expect. We were remote, away from the tours, with waves of golden sand at our feet. After tea, Beth and I walked the dunes to watch a lovely sunset. After a delicious tagine, we were surprised with a full moon rising and a sky of stars. The quiet was deafening, then broken with Berber rhythms from Larbi, his brother Nayim and friend Bryham. We danced by the fire and then shared life stories. We now have a new desert family.

The luxury tent serves a continental and vegetarian breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. At Majorelle Desert Camp, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and specialises in African cuisine. The camp has the perfect location, I came by share taco and they picked me up with a motorcycle from the Main Street. All of the staff are lovely people, I felt more than welcome and really had a great experience! The food was great, my tent really spacious and beautiful and the facilities clean. Would definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to stay for one or more nights in the desert but doesn’t want to book a guided tour!

Staying two nights with Younas, Hamid and Rasheed was easily the shining highlight of our three week trip to Morocco. These wise, young, generous men couldn’t have done anything more to warm our hearts, enrich our experience or increase our comfort. They went above and beyond in every way, we absolutely adored them, the accommodation and the magic of their dunes, camels, food, etc. Highly recommend - if we ever make it back, we would love to see them and stay with them again!!

From M'hamid, our guide Moubarek expertly navigated the desert to our campsite, enhancing the journey with sights of caravans and oases. The camp itself was authentically Berber, blending tradition with comfort to create a serene escape. Highlights included a stunning sunset walk, a candlelit dinner under the stars with heartfelt music, and engaging conversations with our hosts about life in the Sahara. Thanks, Mohamed and Ali. This experience is a must for anyone looking to connect with nature and culture in a profound way.

At the luxury tent, the units are fitted with a outdoor furniture. Every unit is fitted with a shared bathroom with a shower. At the luxury tent, units are equipped with bed linen and towels.

Guests at the luxury tent can make the most of yoga classes offered in-house. We enjoyed our stay at Nomads Heaven Camp very much. Moloud is a very experienced host and guide, very proficient in different languages. Very friendly! Food was good and typical moroccon dishes for breakfast and dinner. Everything was reasonably priced. It was very quiet, approximately 6 km from Mhamid. You live in tent-like clay buildings. It was rather warm inside during the night. So we did not need warmer clothes inside. You can walk 200-300 m and you enter an area with smaller dunes with super fine sand. We just sat there and enjoyed a sunset and sunrise there. So it is "desert experience light". Be aware that the real desert with the big 100m high dunes is 60 km/ 2h away. Moloud could have organized a tour by 4x4 and/or camel. But that would have taken us more time, also one person had health issues. So ideally you spend 2-3 days. And stay in the "real" desert overnight.

So many stars! great rooms and delicious food! the staff is super friendly and helpful! they can organize everything for you from pick up from the airport to short or long excursions to live and explore the amazing desert by dromedars or 4X4. 100% recomendable!

The luxury tent boasts a variety of wellness options, including a steam room, a solarium and yoga classes. For guests with children, Camp Mbark authentic offers indoor and outdoor play areas. If you would like to discover the area, hiking is possible in the surroundings and the accommodation can arrange a car rental service. The camp is located perfectly fine in some dunes with stunning views. We were lucky enough to be the only guests for the night so we had the campsite to ourselves. The dinner was absolutely fine and we were offered to have a campfire if we'd wanted. What we enjoyed most was the quietness and the stars during the night. No dune-bashers or cars (thank god!). The host is as friendly as you can imagine and organized a camel ride back to the parking area for the following day with a local guy which we also enjoyed a lot. Also communication was easy and pick could be organized smoothly. Definitely 10/10.

A true desert immersion. We had a transfer from Mahamid. Our driver and also our guide spoke great English and provided an amazing experience, showing us the Nomad villages on the way. The food (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast) was one of the best we had during our 10 days in Morocco. The camp definitely exceeded our expectations, was right next to the big dunes, was super comfortable and clean, with our tent having a private bathroom with a shower and hot water. We took a camel ride to the big sand dunes and sand boarded down them. Cannot recommend enough! An absolute must when you’re in Morocco!
