Wow, this accommodation blew us away! Pierre and Manon who are running this property with a lot of LOVE are incredible people worthy of admiration! They bought a house with a good amount of land around it and have constructed several cabins, a yoga deck, a restaurant and a boat house over the last few years. Ataraxia has its own pier, so boatmen will easily take you there from Isla Colon. At the back of the property, there is a nature reserve, a jungle with so many treasures! We were able to spot the red frogs, caimans, a racoon, yellowtail birds, giant turquoise butterflies, turtles, giant ants, we rented a free kayak and paddled through the mangroves nearby, and we walked on several occasions to Old Bank, the main village on Isla Bastimentos, and once to Wizzard Beach. Manon also booked us a trip to Zapatilla (including sloth, dolphin and starfish spotting and snorkeling) and Pierre arranged our transportation to the airport. Several ideas for activities in the area conveniently presented in a booklet in the room (Zapatilla trip, Wizzard Beach hike, Red Frog & Polo Beach, bio-luminescence tour, etc.). Free kayaks and snorkeling gear available. If you are into botany and medicinal plants, you will have a lot to talk about with Pierre who planted so many of them around the property. Running a guesthouse in the middle of the jungle is a hard task, yet the couple somehow manage it and always keep smiling and interacting with guests at all times. Thank you very much, we will never forget our stay with you! You are a true inspiration! Be aware that: there is no hot water or AC and you cannot use a hairdrier, as the place runs on solar energy. There is wifi. Rooms are cleaned daily and are very spacious. Cold drinks available in the common fridge and option to have dinner. Tasty and creative breakfast included.

Carmen's place está en Bastimentos y cuenta con vistas al jardín, jardín, salón de uso común, terraza, restaurante y bar. Se ofrece wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. Nuestra estadía fue perfecta. Carmen y Marcel son anfritiones maravillosos, preocupados en todo momento de hacernos sentir en casa lo que genera un ambiente familiar con los demás huéspedes. Estuvimos en la habitación de 4, camas muy cómodas, ventiladores y ducha muy buena. La comida es deliciosa, por 25 usd tienes una entrada y plato de fondo del que te puedes repetir cuántas veces quieras. Una noche comimos sopa, gulash de carne y pescado con salsa agridulce, arroz salteado y un guiso de verduras, todo maravilloso. Otra noche, croqueta de pescado, pizza y pasta con camarones, un festín! El desayuno super abundante y rico: café, mucha fruta, pan, queso, omelet y unos panqueques deliciosos. Nos vamos agradecidos de la hospitalidad y el cariño de Carmen y Marcel y de las interesantes conversaciones que pudimos compartir con ellos.

Pure Roots se encuentra en Bastimentos y ofrece vistas al mar y wifi gratis a 11 min a pie de Playa de Carenero Noreste y a 2,3 km de Playa de Carenero. We had a wonderful time at this place. You are surrounded by jungle. The huts are very cozy and they have everything you need. Jen is the host of this accommodation and she lovingly takes care of her guests. There is a delicious breakfast and she helps you organize any activities you want to do. We will remember this accommodation for a long time.

Coral Wing Casitas está en Bastimentos y ofrece alojamiento con balcón y wifi gratis. Location was fabulous. Lots of windows with gorgeous views of wayer. Breakfast delivered to the room. We used the free kayaks. Snorkeling in front of the cabin was great. JJ was a wonderful host.

El Lodge en Punta Rica... El Hilltop Eco-Lodge with Views & Pool es un bed and breakfast recientemente reformado situado en Bastimentos, donde los huéspedes pueden aprovechar al máximo su piscina con... I am an hospitality expert and I have discovered Punta Rica Lodge by case. I feel very lucky to have discovered this paradise. The Lodge is beautifully designed and decorated in details and surrounded by the most beautiful trees and plants and flowers. Is it located on a small hill and had a private Pier where you can look at sunset over the water. The Rooms are huge and beautifully designed. The piace and the sound of the birds is mind blowing. But the BEST part is yet to come. DANIEL, of of the owners ( unfortunately i could not meet the second owner but hopefully next time soon), was not ONLY the most pleasant and kind and friendly person, but also a 5 star CHEF. He was cooking for us every eve ning offering a 3 courses menu that was mind blowing. Nobody from the guests wanted to go eat outside because Daniel’s food was surreal. His desserts were better then a Michelin star. The Breakfast was just delicious and offered different options, same for dinner. The hotel had a beautiful pool to relax. Along the walking path of the hotel you can spot the famous red frogs ( no need to look further). Sara was amazing and her breakfast was fantastic. The small apero before dinner and the common salon table was amazing so socialize with other travelers and as a solo traveler i never felt alone which was fantastic. If you still want intimacy the Lodge has also single tables. Home stay cozy feels like style. Well connected to the other islands by a short 5 minutes water boat taxi ride.

Casita Azul está en Bastimentos y dispone de alojamiento con wifi gratis a 8 min a pie de Playa de Carenero Noreste. The property is as described. Lots of storage space so you can unpack. Great kitchen. They are very attentive to your comfort. We had one of the air conditioners break down when it was determined that is could not be repaired they had it replaced right away. It is only really needed in the evening and night time for comfort and sleeping. During the day open the doors and windows and the breeze is great. A very comfortable home and a great place to unwind.

Akwaba lodge is located at the middle of Isla Solarte about a 10 minute boat ride ($10/person) from Bocas del Toro. It is on a hill overlooking the water and Isla Bastimentos Breakfast is included in your stay. Lunch dinner and beverages are available at a very reasonable price. The lodge is an eco style lodge surrounded by jungle. Though there are no hiking trails through the jungle you are serenaded by the sounds of birds. Kayaks, SUP and snorkeling equipment is available for your use. Your host and their children are wonderful and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and wonderful experience. Things to know, the lodge is off the grid with good WiFi and does not have AC, but we were comfortable with our open windows and ceiling fan. The lodge accepts credit cards, but tours and water taxis are cash only so bring US dollars. Side trips to Red Frog Beach and Green Acres Chocolate are a must. Pack insect repellent and anti-itch cream.
