They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, the place was friendly and we had a great time. Great communication between Sam’s place and us before we travelled ensuring all our needs were met when we arrived. They were very helpful and provided us with information and recommendations for things to do in the area. I would recommend and we will be booking again soon. Thank you Sam!

I stayed in the Private Pool Villa, which felt like a private home — spacious, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Food was great — I especially loved the mango curry during lunch! You’ll also find fruit trees all around the garden — I got to taste some fresh mangoes straight from the tree. 🍋🥭 I also went on a full-day Block 5 Yala Safari arranged by the resort, and the experience was unforgettable — we saw so many animals, it truly exceeded my expectations! Whether you're visiting Kataragama for a pilgrimage, a safari, or simply to relax, Farm Villa Resort is the perfect choice. Great service, beautiful views, and a very reasonable price for what you get. Highly recommended!
