The room was so nice and clean. The breakfast was delicious and we could choose exactly what we wanted to eat the day before. The staff was kind and helpful. It's an old house with a gentle renovation so the spirit of the history was preserved in a beautiful way. All in all we had a wonderful time at Thambu Illam.

Allens home stay está en Jaffna, a 7 min a pie de Templo Nallur Kandaswamy y a 1,5 km de Jaffna Railway Station. it is a super nice, calm, spaceious and clean home with a tremendous jost. allen really helped us with everything, planing, renting, restaurants and gave us an insight in hindu history. additional to that he made us a wonderful breakfast every morning and was there for every quastion and need. i can highly recomand to stay here for as short or longer time!

The facilities are excellent, but what really stands out is the incredible friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts. They even offered free rides to local sights, which was a wonderful bonus. Breakfast was also delicious and well-prepared. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jaffna!

Its located in a quiet lane on Manipay Road overlooking agricultural land owned/rented by smallholders. Noise and external interference is absolutely minimal.
