Este albergue está ubicado en la granja Berunes, junto a la carretera de circunvalación y a 45 km de la localidad de Djúpivogur. We did the ring road while driving in Iceland and we booked seven places where we stayed. Out of these 7 places I have to say that Berunes was by far the best one. It was an amazing experience and the host is super friendly and helpful. But the reason why we liked Berunes the most was because it was a step back in time. The house where we stayed was built in the 1900s and the furniture is rustic but there are all the facilities needed. We are a family of four and we had two separate rooms and a private bathroom. Just next to the house there is a small church and also a restaurant. The restaurant was closed at the time of our visit, in April, but they will open it in summer. The landscape surrounding the hostel is also amazing. There is a lake in front of the house and the mountain at the back. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and spend some enjoyable time in the middle of nature.

El Ormurinn Cottages se encuentra en Egilsstadir. Hay conexión WiFi gratuita en todas las instalaciones. A cozy, clean cottage in a beautiful, quiet location with an incredible lake view, on our way through stunning Iceland. The cottage isn't very large, but it's perfectly adequate for two. Be ready to keep it clean and leave it tidy after yourself. There's nothing to complain about. Thank you so much for the perfect accommodations.

El Blabjorg Resort se encuentra en la localidad pesquera de Borgarfjordur Eystri, a 71 km de Egilsstadir, y cuenta con restaurante y cafetería. Excellent resort in a beautiful small village in East Iceland. Spacious, very clean rooms with fully equipped kitchen and modern decoration. The resort offers spa facilities. The staff was polite and very friendly, especially Nicol.

Hótel Gerpir dispone de wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento y habitaciones con aire acondicionado en Neskaupstaður. Hay un restaurante de pizza y parking privado gratis. Amazing place to stay, beautiful view, really nice room and fantastic staff. The breakfast was really good as well!

Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses se encuentra a 5,8 km de Cascada Hengifoss y ofrece jardín y zona de playa privada, además de alojamiento con balcón y wifi gratis. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay in the Hengifoss lodge. It's a dream to stay here. Once entered you're greeted by the warm smell of ember caused by the wood that was used to make this house. The colours and the layout of the room is incredibly cosy. The fireplace keeps the house (almost too) warm, and the window + terrace give an exceptional view over the lake and mountains. The hosts are also amazing and gave us the feeling that we're not only welcome, but also that they really understand why we chose to go to Iceland. We asked for help with our fireplace and the host, Isabelle, came to the rescue. She tried to help us to lit a fire but to no avail. We did however have a really good conversation. However when she left, we were content enough. Yet still she knocked on the door and winked us to come over. She told us enthusiastically that the Northern Lights were dancing and fully visible, we had to come outside! The next morning it was kind of raining, a little bit. But the sun was also shining through the clouds. The husband, Steff, called me when I was standing on the terrace. He said: "There is a rainbow there!" and pointed towards slightly behind the house I was standing in front of. I walked to the side and indeed saw a beautiful rainbow. This might not say much to other people wanting to stay there. But to me it feels like these people have such a connection with Iceland, its beauty and understand that we are there for the same connection, they told us to look at beautiful views which Iceland offers, and we were delighted to follow their guidance. Thank you Isabelle and Steff, for the warm welcome. Whenever we're in Iceland and planning to go near Eggs, we will definitely make use of your beautiful little houses.

Hengifosslodge Skáldahús tiene vistas al lago, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Está en Egilsstadir, a 5,9 km de Cascada Hengifoss. Hermoso complejo. Hermoso lugar para ver auroras! Nos avisaron cuando estaban. No hay tanta luz en el complejo asiq es espectacular para eso. Camas cómodas. La vista increíble.

Greystone summerhouse dispone de vistas a la montaña, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Se encuentra en Egilsstadir, a 37 km de Cascada Hengifoss. Esta cabaña es hermosa, súper cómoda! Tiene todo lo necesario, ubicada en un espacio abierto que posibilita ver auroras. La recomiendo!
