The spacious and ultra luxurious rooms (which were well equipped and quiet) and the serene yet central location made us wish we booked a longer stay. Stunning location to explore the many activities and experiences that the town of Hoedspruit and surrounding area has to offer. Little shops, restaurants and of course the Greater Kruger are right on your doorstep. We were warmly greeted and the helpful and friendly staff assisted us in planning and arranging everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

Beautiful lodge located in a private reserve near Hoedspruit The terrace has a view on a waterhole where elephants and impalas come to drink The tent was very confortable The meals were all very good, and my girlfriend who doesn’t eat meat always had a fish or vegetarian option which we really appreciated Every single person of the staff was very kind and attentive to us

If you’re looking at this review, book this accommodation! You will stay in a beautifully designed intimate lodge that is spotless and clean, with hosts that are true masters of hospitality. Every detail is considered with care, everything you need will be handled. For the price they far exceeded our expectations. You will receive 5+ star service, incredible food, and (if you wish) great conversation. We will personally tell anyone we know coming to the area to stay here. You stay as a couple or family in a luxury villa on a terrain that’s exclusively for yourself. It’s a big place but everything is private so completely for your family. The pool was amazing, also the room itself is full of beautiful decoration. We told the host that the place is completely designed to our taste. It’s amazing to stay in this luxurious place, and all this for a good price! Also the breakfast was amazing, I included a part of it in a picture! Last but not least, the host is amazing! She is so good in hospitality and is just very interested in her guests and extremely friendly. What a woman! We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family and would like to revisit it ourselves!

We had an exceptional time. The staff treated us like family. The room was gorgeous (with a pool and outdoor showers so we can enjoy the water while being eyed by giraffes, impala, and baboons), they organised a night outside under the stars in an observation tower, a game drive that we'll never forget, a picnic by the river, a chance to meet elephants at a nearby reserve, and many delicious meals that we enjoyed on our own. The perfect retreat regardless of whether it's family or something romantic. I can't wait to come back.

We only stayed for one night at the Hippomoon Lodge but were treated to quite an eventful time there. I was celebrating my 50th birthday and on meeting the colourful and effervescent Xavier, we were shown round our room which was nothing short of spacious, a large room with an equally large adjoining bathroom. I'm sure that Xavier would agree that the real star is lovely Patricia who was exceptionally kind and helpful. The hospitality here set the tone for our ZA experience, nothing was too much trouble. Xavier is a prolific raconteur so sit back with a drink and enjoy the anecdotes. The lodge is around 30 min drive from Hoedspruit Airport along an unmade road that will hopefully be completed soon. Around the lodge are a variety of animals that can be enjoyed at close quarters. Xavier took us out in his truck to explore the animals on the estate that included giraffe, zebra, ostrich and a variety of buck. In the evening, we were served with a lovely meal cooked to perfection, while appreciating the effort made to make my birthday really special. The electrical storm added a little sparkle to the evening. The lodge is a fun place to stay, roomy and very comfortable. You will be really well looked after and there is plenty to see just by relaxing within the outside space that includes a small pool and recliners. Thanks again to Patricia and Xavier for their warm hospitality and helpful advice that set us on our way on what was a memorable trip.

We found Rukiya on someones blog, and it was beyond what we expected. The location, the atmosphere, the food, and the staff were fantastic. The safaris were something else, the guides were awesome at tracking and finding animals, birds and snakes (The Black mamba a particular favourite). If you want a special trip with exceptional guides, with passion and knowledge, look no further, you have found it. Conright the guide, and his prodigies, well you made our stay!

If you're looking for a place to hide and enjoy nature and wildlife, Geminthebush is the ideal location. We were treated very well by the staff and all the ladies were very friendly. In addition to breakfast, we also enjoyed dinner on some evenings, the mushrooms for breakfast (I need to know the secret spices used🙂) and braai on Saturday for dinner (oh that tasty source, I will come back for it) were delicious. I will definitely go back.

Stunning location with a pristine setting. The spacious accommodations were impeccably clean and provided a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The pool was a delightful oasis, ideal for enjoying sunny summer days. The cozy couch was perfect for relaxing and unwinding while enjoying the available Netflix selection.
