We just had the most wonderful stay at the Flying Plate Saloon. Eventhough we only stayed a night we got the full service with breakfast and a lovely chat in the morning. We could not imagine a cozier and more welcoming place to stay and will definitely recommend it to everyone <3

This property is perfectly appointed. From the moment you arrive you’re greeted by the friendly Sandra and Richard. It’s so homely including Sandra’s home made sour dough bread and spreads which are delicious down to warm robes for after you shower. So much thought and love has been put into this accomodation. It’s large for a BNB and felt like a warm hug from the moment we walked in.

    We had continental breakfast ready for us for the next morning, which was lovely as we arrived late and only stayed the night. Home made bread cut for toast and eggs and cereals etc. The room was like home away from home. Very clean and well set out. Would highly recommend.

    Bedroom was well set up for our family and the breakfast room was an ideal set up for two early rising children. All the staff we encountered were friendly and warm. We had lunch in the bar one day - it was amazing - highly recommend.

    Friendly owner who offered us an extra bed on arrival and quickly made it up. Very clean, new & well-equipped unit in a pleasant, semi-rural setting on the outskirts of town.

    Location is perfect. Enjoyed seeing all the stars at night. Beautiful home-made bread, butter & jam was provided along with a couple of eggs, a small juice, milk, sugar and real coffee. Cosy and warm unit. Lovely hosts. I will be staying there again.
