Visiting Ella and staying in this homestay just outside the city centre was the highlight of my recent trip to Sri Lanka. The accommodation represents excellent value for money and was more than adequate for the time I spent there. The room was large in size and the homestay in general was built to what I thought was a high level of quality with very high ceilings and lots of wood used throughout the building. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was designed to a high standard. This was easily one of the best examples of a homestay I say anywhere in Sri Lanka. What I found really excellent about this place was the staff, Over the several days I spent at this homestay I got to know Pasindu and Noman and given the excellent rapport I got with these guys I decided to do Wild Steps tour with Pasindu, which was basically a motorbike tour to all the major sites for one day, which I left all the travel planning and guiding to Pasindu. I also was easily convinced on my last night to take part in a Sri Lankan cooking class at the homestay with Noman and Pasindu which gave me a great deal of insight of how to make Sri Lankan food. This involved going to the local market and buying a bunch of ingredients and then coming back to the homestay and making a feast. Both activities were absolutely fantastic! What I can't express enough is what legends both of these guys were and how excellent this accommodation was. In hindsight if I planned my itinerary again I probably would have skipped the rest of my trip going down to the coast (Tangelle, Merissa and Galle) and would have spent the time in Ella, backtracking back to Colombo via Kandy and spending more time in the cultural triangle.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Miracle View. The cottage is spacious, comfortable, and very clean, with lovely beds and a great shower. Waking up with the truly stunning view each morning was a joy. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. Every morning, a generous and varied breakfast was served, with something different each day. A real luxury to start the day. The house is located on top of a hill, which gives you those amazing views. It’s quite a challenging climb on foot, but the host was always happy to pick us up, even when we had our own tuk-tuk. For trips to the center, he also arranged a reliable tuk-tuk taxi without any trouble. All in all, a wonderful place to stay with a warm welcome, great facilities, and service that truly stands out. We would definitely come back.

The location of the hotel is great, close enough to the city but not in the middle of it to be disturbed. Relatively clean and service staff is good, especially F&B staff. Housekeeping staff needs training, in fact, all staff would benefit from good training in both technical and service skills. The Check in was smooth and assumed the Owner too got involved

Lovely friendly care takers, great breakfast, freshly made sri lankan food, catered for our needs. Very Clean house, and room and showers. Beds had nets so can have a safe peaceful night sleep. Location very close to shops and restaurant. 10/15 mins drive to Fort station, would book again.

Great location, great views, professional and friendly, helpful owner. Rooms clean, very aesthetically managed rooms and exteriors, bathroom good, a bit small though. Great common area with good views. Worth every bit of the slightly higher budget you pay for.

A beautiful recently refurbished family home now rented out by the room . The owner lives in Colombo but kept in touch and helped with any queries. Spotlessly cleaned & maintained by 2 live in caretakers. The breakfasts were delicious . Central location . Highly recommended.
