Woderful stay! The Hill Top was our base for three nights. This allowed us to do the Tsumago/Magome hike (one hour drive) as well as hiking Mt. Kisokoma-gatake (one hour drive). Getting there by car was made easier by the indications on the roadside for the last few kilometers. The hosts were exquisitely kind. Dinner was excellent and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the local wines. Breakfast was also excellent. Surroundings of the hotel are beautiful. One of our most pleasant stay in Japan.

The hosts were absolutely amazing and spent plenty of time accommodating us. They made sure we were comfortable, offered some lovely chats fluently in English. There are even some home comforts for the English out there. They also offered tons of advice on what to do in the area. The room was spacious and clean, with customisable set up using the futons.

This is a beautiful home in an amazing location. It really exceeded our expectations in every way. The level of detail put into the construction of the building is a work of art. The people were so friendly. We had a BBQ and watched fireworks one night. As an English person who can't speak any Japanese, it was so nice that everyone put in an effort to communicate with me. One guy even face timed his 5 year old daughter to introduce me.
