The host was exceptional. Dinner and breakfast was included and both were traditional Japanese and delicious. Our host was so kind and drove us to the bike oasis where we hired our bikes. We absolutely loved the islands in the seto sea and it was wonderful to be staying on one of them and made to feel so welcome. The whole experience was a major highlight of our stay!

We loved this place SO MUCH. Arrived at the end of a long day of cycling, feeling almost broken. We got in and the view, the house, the treats and the care the owners had taken in readying the house made us feel on top of the world. We drank tea on the deck; watched TV; had a bath in the amazing bathtub; and didn't leave the house at all until we checked out. Which worked out, because there us not much around, and it's in a very quiet spot. The owner was very helpful and responsive too. Favourite place we have stayed in in Japan, by far.

The staff here are amazing — everyone’s so friendly, and provided excellent recommendations for where to eat and what to do. The regular facilities are clean and modern, but it’s the vibe of the people that really makes this a great stay.
