The owner was absolutely lovely! The rooms were comfortable and we had everything we needed. The location was perfect for getting to the grand onsen, and wasn't far from several bus stops to get around Lake Toya. There is a coin laundry and a great sushi place next door. We were allowed to store our bags in the laundry on the day of check out, which helped up make the most of our last day. Would 110% stay here again

The location is good. It is about an 8-minute walk from Higashimuroran Station. You need to pay attention to prevent slipping on snowy days. The room is clean and tidy, and the service is thoughtful. When the front desk knew that we wanted to see the sunrise, he pointed out the unreasonable part of our itinerary and kindly told us where to go to watch it. We loved absolutely everything, from the staff to the quality/cleanliness of the spaces and the room. The futons were very comfortable as well! And the hostel is only a small walk away from the lake/ferry/firework/onsens/ and the most delicious icecream. A bonus point is the restaurant of the hostel which makes amazing Hokkaido curry!
