The house has been renovated to a very high standard and is immaculate throughout. It is full of traditional style and very tastefully furnished. There is much evidence of the generations of family woodworking skills. Cretan hospitality welcomes you. All the rooms are comfortable, spacious, light and airy. The roof terrace is a wonderful place to sit at any time of day or night with superb views of the surrounding mountains. It is just a short 2 minute walk to the central square with tavernas offering excellent food. The host, Andreas, is very friendly and helpful, speaks English and has a wealth of knowledge about the village and Cretan life.

Excellent stay, kind, warm, welcome. Exceeds our expectations. Very cozy, clean and comfortable. Quiet and peaceful place close to nature, garden with oranges and lemons, mountain view. Very friendly and smart dog and cat on the territory, our 2 kids got really attached to. Location is good, close Kalyves beach, Kaurnas lake with turtles, folklore museum of Gavalochori. Home is really lovely, hosts put a lot of thought and care into making it a comfortable and welcoming space inside and outside of the house. We especially love the way it's decorated. ❤️

Amazing location , secluded yet close to all the amenities! Amazing little village close by. Views were stunning, pool was excellent! Would definitely stay again. The person who communicated with us was named Tonia, she answered all my questions and was super responsive.. my daughter got sick and she booked a doctor's appointment for us! This was a great location, with large rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. They rang the bus company to get the local airport bus to stop for us (that’s what you have to do in Crete, apparently!) and we’d definitely stay here again.

    Beautiful renovated house on a gorgeous location. In the middle of Crete. Close to the Imbros Gorge. The House has stunning view over the Askyfou Valley and you can enjoyed that view from the infinity pool on the top terrace. One 3 terrasses, following the mountain the house has is been built on. Inside de decoration is spot on and the house is full of history.

    A lovely family business, lovely people running both accommodation and restaurant. Ideal location for somebody wanting to explore Cretan inland rather than coast (such as myself). Nice little pool area to chill out after a day on the mountains. Did I mention the restaurant? Home-cooked, authentic Sfakian (Cretan inlands) meals. Top marks
