Our stay at the Alahuar Hotel was wonderful. The location is fantastic, the bungalow was beautiful, tidy, with a balcony and a view of the mountains. There was a pool with sun loungers. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The restaurant dishes were excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

Everything - the hospitality from Julio and his daughter, Julia, who speaks perfect English; the tasteful renovation of the property; the tranquility; the beautiful views; the excellent dinner; the pervading feeling of luxury....It was an unexpected gem! I was unsure after reading reviews but without grounds. The access is via a metalled, windy, but perfectly adequate road; there is a spacious terrace with comfy sofas and sunshades and views and a bar service to enjoy a g&t whilst looking at them; a pool with those same views. The dinner is bought in from a local restaurant of some renown and has to be ordered before 3pm on the day of arrival. The 3 sharing starters plus dessert were certainly enough for 2 people and were both surprising and delicious. Most of all, what has stayed with us was Julio's extraordinary kindness and passion for both the property and its history and the local food and produce - it seemed like nothing would have been to much trouble. As a note, there is free parking on site. The owners do not stay on site overnight which did not bother us.

    Spotlessly clean, fantastic staff and excellent food. Breakfast was delicious with so much variety. Hotel was situated at the top of the hill overlooking the village and mountains. Stunning views, peaceful and tranquil. Fantastic outside pool. Room was spacious with great shower and beautiful views. Definitely return

    Big, spacious room with place to unpack, which is really convenient, when staying for a couple of nights. Good restaurant, varied breakfast with freshly pressed juices. Staff was friendly and serviceminded. Great views, beautiful surroundings, quiet and peaceful location. Very nice and clean pool area.

    Everything. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff were superb and the location is absolutely stunning. The breakfasts were amazing and the dinners were excellent, made up of local ingredients cooked in a local style. The staff were brilliantly helpful and very friendly. The views.     Very friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely hotel enjoying a fabulous location, perfect for exploring and doing some amazing local walks. Breakfast was particularly good. Very high quality. Nice spacious and very clean room. Hopefully we can come back at some stage because there are so many great walks in the region.
