Probably the best hostel in the entire Amazon! Not only are the owners and their entire family extremely kind and helpful, the food is also amazing and they are the only place in Macedonia (the village) with uninterrupted electricity and high speed internet thanks to solar panels and Starlink (satellite internet). I got quite a bit of work done during my stay and was also able to relax. The hostel is located at the edge of the village (about 5 min walking from where you arrive by boat), which means that it's very quiet and peaceful.

I was impressed with my room, it offered a sizeable double bed and the accomodation itself overlooked the Amazon river. where you can admire the sunrise and sunset. The staff were super helpful & friendly. The Maloka in the center of the accommodation offered the perfect space to browse the handmade artesanias, as well as enjoy a meal and meet local people and travellers alike. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Located a 20 minute walk from the port, the grounds were beautiful with a lovely view of the river. We had the cabana furthest from reception with its own little deck and two chairs- perfect for watching the caracaras and oropendolas in the mornings. The cabana was basic but the bed was comfortable and we had an electric fan. There was an excellent fridge freezer and a two ring gas stove top in the reception with free drinking water and the hosts made very strong coffee for everyone. There was a large troupe of squirrel monkeys and a small troupe of tamarind monkeys that roamed the property- encouraged by the owners we were able to get really close to them feed them bananas - brilliant! The hosts were kind and generous- giving us eggs and bread for breakfast the first morning and various interesting fruits to try throughout our stay. We had a wonderful morning on a trip to the lake with Jonathan.

Great hospitality of owners will make us coming back. Leon is an experienced and knowledgable guide who can offer you various types of jungle trips. Our accomodation was humble, but very clean. Super fast wifi connection and hammocks allowed us to chill out a bit and plan next trips.

Our trip to the Amazon was incredible. The best stay of our Colombian trip, we cannot recommend it enough. The food was local and they adapted to our preferences (my partner is vegetarian), the cabins were comfortable, cozy and we felt at home. I've had a great time staying with Crisanto and Diana! The hospedaje is a lovely house located at the edge of the rainforest. There's lots of insects, birds, exotic trees and plants near the house, and even some tiny monkeys! Diana's food was amazing (she catered to my dietary restrictions too), and Crisanto was a great guide, taking me to the forest both during the day and at night. I also spent some time cooking with Diana, and got some traditional painting done. I really felt like a part of their family, and highly recommend the hospedaje!

You'll live in the middle of a national park, with the local indigenous Mocagua community 40 minutes away by foot as the next village. You'll be fully immersed in the life in the jungle, with John and his family taking excellent care of you. The activities are great as well - we focused on hikes and boat tours. The price of activities might seem high, but they are organised just for you.
