it was just … a dream! a modest but unforgettable castle experience:) Thomas, the castle manager, was super kind and welcoming. the facilities are practically new - but combined so carefully with the old heart of the castle. the beds are comfortable, there are board games to choose from, and even during the colder months the heating system works great. would recommend a thousand times! (just keep in mind that it requires walking up some flights of stairs to reach the premises) so grateful for this experience ❤️

- The pond-like pool! So clever and lovely to be in. - The best brunch I've ever had (vegan or otherwise) - a very special effort for my birthday that was truly unique to here. The design of the place is absolutely stunning. It is an actual silo used for coco beans about a 100 years ago. If you are facinated with urban and industrial aesthetics - this place is for you! I liked self check-in process - it is perfect for me, as I prefer less interactions. Everything was available online with simple intructions. The room was spacious enough and big round window is amazing. Cute and healthy breakfast was included. Don't forget to ask for your Basel card for free public transport and museum discounts.

Good location. Clean comfortable room. Very helpful staff, giving me good information on the city, including the museums. Went to two of them, Kunstmuseum and Foundation Beyeller, both with very impressive collections.
