If you have time consider to visit Gostusa, an old stone build village 25 km from Pirot, the road to Gostusa is now completely paved, with nice viewpoints on the way.

We were late for check in (queue on the border) and the hosts were so kind to wait for us. They even let us have a longer rest and check out later. There is a parking spot on the driveway, but there is a plenty of spots on the street too. The flat is on the quiet street , the city centre is 10-15min walk.
