They served delicious breakfast for a nominal fee. Could have a warm shower. Enjoyed talking with owner. Very close to all the Lamu action. Owner had connections with others who could help with boat transfers to airport, town tours, boat race viewing etc

Al llegar alguien me esperaba en el aeropuerto (servicio gratuito) para acompañarme al hostel. Esto siempre se agradece. El dueño, Arnold, que es viajero también, es un pozo sin fondo de información, que te facilita las cosas desde el primer momento. El hostel que es sencillo pero coqueto, está dentro del casco viejo. Llegar cada día y cada noche hasta allí es un placer viajero. El área es muy segura. Tiene un roof top muy aprovechable.

The staff were so helpful and attentive. Amani was a wonderful host and thoughtfully took care of every detail. He even offered to come and get me in town if I was lost and needed help finding my way. The spice cake at tea time was also a highlight❤️

Location right on the water, Swahili decor, great staff and wonderful food. I have come here 5+ times! And I will be back!

Shiban House se encuentra a 6 min a pie de Playa de Shela y ofrece alojamiento con centro de fitness, terraza y cocina compartida. Se ofrece wifi gratis. Joseph and Mpanzi were very lovely and took good care of me. I enjoyed chatting with them and really felt like I had made new friends by the time I left. The house is large and clean and is well located in Shela. A very comfortable base to explore Lamu and its delights.

Mangrove House se encuentra en Lamu y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, zona de playa privada y terraza frente a la playa, a pocos pasos de Manda Beach. Our stay on Manda’s side at Mangrove House was truly wonderful. The location is unmatched, the peace and quiet are absolute. The staff is wonderful and so is the owner, super attentive and ready to help and share. The house is right in front of Shela and Peponi hotel, just a short boat trip away. Would absolutely go back, and recommend it to everyone going to Lamu!

Samaki House, que cuenta con jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y wifi gratis, se encuentra en Lamu, a 2 min a pie de 18th Century Swahili House Museum y a 300 metros de Lamu Museum. Everything has been great! Moses has been super helpful and friendly, the breakfast was great and the house is beautiful. The price-quality is really good, so I would definitely recommend it. We have access to a wide range of activities and the hotel is well located, in the center of Shilla and a few minutes by walk from the beach.

El Sabrina's Whitehouse, situado a solo 10 metros de la playa de Lamu, alberga un restaurante y un porche en la azotea con vistas panorámicas al océano Índico. Everything about being in Shella countless times, is my peace. Ambience, Ben was available to assist with anything needed, good hospitality. And not to mention how accessible it was, you will find everything you need within that space from shops to hotels , beach view and sunrise.
