Everything is super clean and tidy yet very cozy and it feels like home. The shower rooms are wonderful, the rooms are spacious, the kitchen has absolutely everything and all such good quality. We stayed two nights and visited the world heritage sites nearby. You can get to Ainokura walking 30/40 minutes. The others are reached by bus and the bus stop is right in front of the house. You have a supermarket 2 blocks away, two bakeries from Which I totally recommend the bread / doughnut with red bean paste and the cakes. We also had a wonderful dinner in one of the restaurants. The host was so kind and attentive to every detail. I totally fully recommend staying here. Wonderful experience!

The staff was quick to reply to us and it have all the amenities one needed. The guide with it was very helpful when exploring Johana. We had booked to go to Shirokawa-Go but Johana was much better and the accommodation exceeded our expectations.

But there are helpful instructions at the property, and we found it a bit of an adventure to catch the bus. Also you get lovely views of the mountains when walking in the neighbourhood, which you don’t get in the cbd. Also recommend the Yakatori restaurant near the house. Cosy vibe and delicious food.
