The house is beautiful and in a nice neighbourhood. We got a warm welcome and enjoyed the stay very much. The view into the garden was like in the picture - lovely. The tatami-room was elegant and cozy. We were happy to enjoy the hospitality of the host family. Arigatou gouzaimasu!

Tototo Morioka, que está a 2,2 km de Estación de Morioka y a pocos pasos de House of Morioka Town, ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado y baño compartido en Morioka. I love how the space feels like coming back home, the owner is really kind, funny and I enjoy talking with him and other travelers. We sat all together and had some fun.time. The room I stayed in was a dormitory, the futon mattress was comfortable. I enjoyed the location as well. Even though it's a 30 min walk to the station, it's a really historical area and you will enjoy walking around. I highly recommend it!.

The host was super friendly! It had a homely feel and I felt very comfortable here. We also had a BBQ together on the front deck!

Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN está muy bien situado en el barrio de Owani Onsen, Ōwani, a 43 km de Parque arqueológico de Sannai-Maruyama, a 17 km de Castillo de Hirosaki y a 42 km de Sukayu Onsen. El hotel es una experiencia japonesa con todas sus letras. Kikuchi fue muy amable en todo, como también todo el personal, quienes intentan hablar contigo en inglés y son muy atentos. Nos esperaron con una cena que si bien hay que pagar, merece totalmente la pena: es llenadora y gratificante, además de tener productos típicos de la zona. Tuvimos un problema con nuestro siguiente hotel y el traslado, y desinteresamente nos ayudaron a solucionarlo. El onsen, una maravilla: con unos azulejos hermosos y una verdadera atmosfera de estar en el más puro Japón. Puedes compartir con los otros huéspedes y disfrutar de los espacios comunes sin problemas. Las habitaciones son cómodas, temperadas, y además entregan haori abrigadores para el frío! Aunque es algo alejado, vale totalmente la pena ir!

Tabinoyado Saikawa está en Kuroishi, a 33 km de Lago Towada, y dispone de alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. This is the loveliest ryokan with incredibly hospitable and genuine owners. The food was beautiful. We felt very welcome and very lucky to stay there.

Minpaku Suzuki, en Hiraizumi, se encuentra a 11 min a pie de Templo Motsuji y ofrece alojamiento con aire acondicionado y wifi gratis, además de acceso a la terraza. Trato familiar y acogedor que vuelven inolvidable la experiencia de Hiraizumi. Una habitación tradicional, un desayuno espectacular y una conversación amigable con la familia Suzuki. Él me recomendó un restaurante cercano muy bueno y luego me llevó en coche a un onsen cercano donde relajarme del día. Fueron amables en todo momento y aunque solo me alojé una noche, guardo muy buen recuerdo de mi estancia.

Matakitai está en Ichinoseki, a 14 km de Templo Motsuji, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y salón de uso común. La casa es espectacular. El propietario lo tiene todo muy bien montado con instrucciones claras sobre la cocina, el baño, las habitaciones, información sobre las atracciones turísticas más cercanas, las tiendas y un largo etc. El desayuno es muy barato y buenísimo!! Además, te deja elegir hora entre las 6 y las 9 de la mañana para preparártelo. Para llegar hasta la casa hay que bajarse en la estación de Mataki y está a unos 5 minutos caminando. No hay demasiados trenes durante el día pero sí los suficientes teniendo en cuenta que es una zona rural, tan solo hay que saber el horario que tienen.

Guest House Chara se encuentra en Hirosaki, a 34 km de Parque arqueológico de Sannai-Maruyama y a 3,5 km de Castillo de Hirosaki. We spent three wonderful days in Hirosaki, a charming and authentic town that still feels untouched by mass tourism. It was refreshing to explore a place where the pace is slower and the culture feels so genuine. The absolute highlight of our stay was Guest House Chara, run by the kindest elderly couple, Fusao and Toshiko. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home—it wasn’t just a place to sleep, it truly felt like staying with family. Their house told a story, filled with warmth, history, and the little personal touches that made it feel lived-in and loved. From the amazing homemade breakfast to the delicious ramen dinners they prepared, every meal was made with care and love. The guest house is conveniently located, just a short walk from a supermarket and a laundromat, which made things really easy for us. This personal, welcoming experience truly made our trip special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful, off-the-beaten-path experience in Japan. ありがとうございます

Kameya Hotel se encuentra en Tsuruoka, a 3,5 km de Acuario Kamo Aquarium, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín y parking privado gratis. Amazing Hotel, even though it is a very traditional and old place, the rooms are very modern and renovated with all the amenities one can think of. Onsen is good too, but very hot. The beach is literally just across the road! The rooms all have an ocean view. Staff is extremely friendly and breakfast is also great. Just watch out to book dinner if possible, as there are not many options to eat around town if you don’t want to take the car.
