Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! I thought this would be just a nice sleepover place and nothing more but it is so beautiful and has a very unique traditional feel that it made our stay on the island so much better. You even get free breakfast/dinner if you don't have time to eat outside and depart early in the morning/ don't manage to fetch a table in a reataurant in the evening because there is limited amount of restaurants that are open in late evening or early morning. The whole house is very authentic and the family that runs the place also offers a little souvenir shop with super cheap prices of local souvenirs, some even locally handmade. Thr staff is super nice and the xommom areas welcoming to spend the evenings in game/living room. Also had beautiful garden and amazing views from the rooms right on the sea

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. The view was amazing, the dinner was very varied and tasty, it had around 10 different small dishes with different types of Japanese foods. We also went to onsen that was clean and enjoyable. The shuttle bus was very convenient - hotel offering an evening ride to see the Torii gate lighten up and the we went there again in the morning after checking out and once we were done sightseeing hotel delivered our luggage to the port and we went back to mainland.

We stayed only one night to get to see the island of Miyajima a bit more, and staying here was such a nice experience. In particular, the dinner at the hotel was so special and delicious! You need to message them to make the reservation some days in advance, but they were always very responsive. The facilities of the hotel were really great: the public baths, the rooftop terrace, the footbath café. Finally, the staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Da Fern, a property with a garden, is situated in Sakaiminato, 1.3 km from Mizuki Shigeru Road, 23 km from Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, as well as 27 km from Lake Shinji. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The guest house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Jock is a wonderful host, very giving with his time and tips. Made us takoyaki, which was yum!!! Parents found the chairs a bit hard (used to a sofa :) ), but it was fine. Location was fine, ten mins to at least 2 supermarkets and maybe 15 mins to main train station - easy to walk.

Absolutely loved our stay here - felt very luxurious with some nice touches like heated floor tiles and automatic toilet lid opening! There’s also plenty of room and a gorgeous view to the river.
