By far the nicest accommodation we stayed in during our trip to Taiwan. The historical house in a beautiful part of Daxi has been lovingly and thoughtfully modernised by the hosts. Wonderfully comfortable in every way. The lovely lady who hosts the home stay is extremely kind and generous. She made sure we had everything we needed and is full of great tips and information about Daxi. Daxi itself is definitely worth a visit - it’s an architecturally beautiful and fascinating place to wander.

This was the most exciting stay during our trip to Taiwan. There were many animals to interact with. Apart from different types of roosters, hens, ducks, geese, swans, peacocks, dancing parrots, there were hedgehogs, chinchillas, python, rabbit. Kids saw, touched and fed pony, goat and pig. The host made a very interesting excursion explaining very interesting facts about each animal. The hostess was very nice and friendly and translated us everything into perfect English. The room was huge with the attic and a fireman pole for kids to slide from the second floor. Living room allowed us to sit and eat conformably with our friends who came to visit us.

Hosts were super warm and friendly and they took such good care of us. We had 4 kids, 4 adults and 1 elderly and all our needs were full met. There were little toys and coloring pages in the common area to keep little ones entertained. My kids also enjoyed the teepee they have in the rooms. Breakfast were good o' Taiwanese breakfast from a shop nearby. There's a good selection of coffee and soy milk prepared by the hosts to go with our breakfasts. Nearest convenience store is around 10mins walk away. As we needed a bigger supermarket, the hosts were kind enough to drive us to and from a big supermarket further away. We didn't spot food places nearby except for a stretch of live fish restaurants along the main road but ubereats offers a lot of options for delivery. Overall, an extremely enjoyable and memorable stay. Love the hospitality of the hosts and would strongly recommend anyone who is visiting taoyuan/hsinchu area to give this place a try.
