Everything from the stay to the host. Hiro-san was very accommodating and communication was done via Google Translate 😂 nevertheless we were able to understand each other pretty well. Stink bugs were one but we made it into a family adventure of sorts.

Staying with Kota and his family was absolutely wonderful! They have a lovely house, everything is clean and comfortable, but more than than that, is the pleasure of staying in a real home in a beautiful place. The best thing about this place is the people. Wonderful family is running this small cozy Inn along the road to Shirakawa-go from Toyama. We could not find affordable Inn in Shirakawa-go, so we chose this one just 40 minutes away. Very nice rooms decorated with good taste and comfortable. Toilet and sink are available in the room and the traditional bath separately for men and women is located downstairs. It was interesting to try it. Very helpful and friendly family members were willing to communicate and give us advice. And great meals were served with care and in a traditional way. We enjoyed our one night stay there a lot. Thank you :)

Exceptional service from the minute our car arrived at the hotel entrance. The level of service here sets a new benchmark for our future Japanese stay (which has always been highly positive). Tranquil ambiance, impeccable cleanliness, Japanese garden, indoor and outdoor onsen, tatami flooring throughout, spacious room with beautiful view of Shogawa, free flow of coffee and drinks and a shop selling local arisanal products at reasonable prices . We tried a few local products and were blown away. Especially love the chocolate from Patisserie Vert and the folded mugwort mochi with red bean paste filling. The staff recommended 2 restaurants , 5 minutes walk away for highly rated local Ayu fish meals. Lots of blooming June flowers everywhere. Perfect location. Only 15 mins drive to see the beautiful Shogawa Gorge and around 15 mins to Tonami City for shopping.
