A fantastic seventeenth-century villa in the Sicilian countryside! A place that makes you fall in love. Entirely renovated by a social cooperative, after being abandoned. I recommend trying their shop in the center of Modica to taste traditional sweets and other local products! Absolutely recommend for a beautiful weekend or week. The place is astonishing, a 18-century property refurbished partly as an accomodation, partly as a place for people with special needs, who also work at the premises. Beautiful sorroundings, breakfast in a very nice courtyard. All the peace you can find. Is in the countryside, still very near Modica and also Scicli. The apartment given to us was OK, it has a private open space with a big table and chairs. IMHO an excelent place to have relax and nice tours nearby.

We stayed at Baglio Calanchi for 6 nights. We truly felt at home due to Giancarlo’s hospitality. Giancarlo gave us lots of recommendations for activities. From Baglio Calanchi, you can (by car) easily discover the provinces Ragusa and Syracuse. We especially liked hiking Cavagrande and hiking Riservata Vindicari. A longer stay like we did (4+ nights) is perfect to explore more than just the typical sights such as Noto and Syracuse. We enjoyed the elaborate breakfasts Giancarlo prepared every morning and a few very romantic dinners he organised for us. A very special experience you’ll probably find nowhere else. Furthermore, the pool area is perfect after a day of visiting towns and hiking. It’s a large pool and it’s relaxed since Baglio Calanchi offers just two guest rooms. All in all, highly recommended! We will definitely come back here if we come back to Sicily someday.

The view is absolutely amazing. Even more so than the one most people visit a little downhill. Great to see Modica light up at night too. I walked up, which was quite tough in the heat. But if you're fit and not arriving with too much luggage it should be fine. Arriving by car would be best, of course. The room is a little old fashioned but otherwise very well maintained. Everything was perfectly clean too. The little fridge was nice to have and the air-conditioning worked well. I slept like a baby. Unless you need something modern or cannot make it all the way up I cannot imagine finding better value in Modica. Highly recommended!

That's a magical place. 18th century villa, which was renewed 5 years ago. All profits go to the foundation which helps to mothers and children. The location is great, in good weather you can see the sea. Owner is very nice person and made a tour for us. The place is amazing. The filling of true Sicily from old movies

Villa Paradiso was stunning- outside space is wonderful. Best pool we've ever had. Gas Pizza Oven and Grill are fantastic facilities. The vegetable & herb patch was amazing- great to be able to pick and cook things. Inside space is modern and spotlessly clean, it had all the amenities that we needed. Our hosts were amazing and available by text to answer any questions.

Spending our days in the villa,was just perfect! The history of the building is amazing,we felt like going back in time. Our room was so lovely and absolutely clean,the breakfast in the amazing garden is a must! This is a fantastic villa for a large group and while the photos are great, there is so much more to Baglio Fasana! We were a group of 11, 4 adults and 7 children ages ranging from 4 to 15 years. There was lots of communal space both indoor and outdoor and the bedrooms were spacious, cool and well laid out. Good aircon and fast WIFI. The kitchen was very well equipped. The pool, where we spent most of our holiday, was just perfect! Guiseppe is a perfect host and could not have done any more to ensure that we had a brilliant holiday.
