We had two apartments in the building and both were super clean and cozy. The beds are super comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast on the terrace, both was delicious. Unfortunately we just stayed for one night. Ronny was an amazing host - helpful, kind and very friendly. We can just recommend the place and will definitely come back.

The location is fabulous, right in the cloud forest with so many birds to see directly from the room or when having breakfast or dinner (especially the beautiful hummingbirds). We took a bird watching tour with Esther which was wonderful, she’s extremely knowledgeable and took some great photos that she shared with us. Taxi to town is cheap and easy but you can also have dinner at the lodge which I highly recommend. Breakfast is also very good. Bed is super comfortable and we loved our terrace with hot tub. We also walked up to the terebita ride across the gorge and walked to the waterfalls, was a very rainy day but still an enjoyable morning.

La Chonta is an incredibly special place. It is such a beautiful space immersed in nature. We saw Toucans, parrots and so many other birds from the balcony. It was nice staying a bit out of town in nature. There is so much to do around Mindo, I wish we had more time. When we arrived, Andres was our host, but leaving as a friend. He joined us on morning walks, showed us great places to eat, and we shared many stories along the way. Thank you for everything and we cannot wait to come back. I recommend La Chonta as one of the best places we have stayed anywhere. Don't think, just book.

Interiors were beautiful and so was the setting. Breakfast on the terrace was memorable. Quiet and serene environment.

Very nice surroundings with lots of wildlife and vegetation. The hot tub outside the cabin is a really nice place to enjoy the evening. Also liked the fact they provided water to drink as some places here in Ecuador don't and it's annoying having to find it and buy it.

This house was perfect and exceptionally beautiful. it had everything we needed plus more. We extended our stay here in Mindo. The location was perfect to do and see everything. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The shower was nice and hot also. The staff were very kind and helpful with everything we needed.

The place was absolutely amazing; the nature outside our dome was gorgeous. It was amazing to have a stream, a waterfall, a little lake, fireflies, and hummingbirds basically all for ourselves. And the host was so friendly and accommodating, even moving us to a different dome on his own initiative so that we'd get to see more colibris. The bed in the dome was really big and comfy, and you sleep looking outside which was amazing. There's also an option for sleeping outside on a kind of net bed. It was completely incredible and I'm already looking into coming back soon and bringing friends.

Beautiful location! We weren't sure from the map if the road went to the cabin, but it did. (The road goes past the cabin location to the cable cars.) We hiked on the very nice property paths every day (one goes to the river and another leads to a waterfall) and enjoyed being immersed in nature. It was about a 10 minute drive to town. The host German was very friendly and helpful!
