GermanyIt leaves up to its promises in experiencing staying in an old tulou (40yo). It is a pleasant surprise that the room is very modern and tastefully decorated. Jesse and Alice were easy to talk to, and even did favors for us in booking transportation. The tour was customized to our preference and Jesse acted as a guide in Tianloukeng, even giving us access to go up the highest floor of one of the Tulous. He also indulged our questions as we love history and culture (one of us is with ICOMOS, so info requested was bordering technical matters of conservation). Taxia as a place is pleasant and quaint, and staying for two nights was not a bad decision. Closest Restaurants are 15 minute walk (2 convenience stores are 50 meters away though), being able to visit some Tulous on the way. Their folks are also very friendly.
