The separate living space was perfect for our large multi family group with 12 kids to have their own space yet still be all together.

Samara Beach is 700 metres from the hostel. Nosara Airport is 25 km away. I loved this hostel ! It looks like a little house that you share with nice people. The staff is very sympathic, just like the other hosts. The kitchen is well equiped. The bedrooms are comfortable. The location is good : a little but far from the center (10-15min by foot) but so also far from the noise. I saw a lot of iguanas around the house. I also appreciated the decoration of the hostel, very hostful. In conclusion, I really loved this place, I totally recommand, and if I come back to Samara I'll come back here for sure ! :)

It's nice to have a living room + kitchen and balconies. Beds were comfortable + AC in the bedrooms is enjoyable. There is everything in the flat if you need to cook.

Incredible value, you could easily pay twice this for the stay, don’t let the low price pit you off, you are getting a bargain! location very close to beach, lovely owners who went the extra mile. The owner, who works very hard to keep the property in good condition and customers happy, very kindly did a load of washing for us at no charge which was very much appreciated. Beautiful breakfast which was also plentiful and served to order. Beach supplies such as beach towels, bug spray, body boards and deck chairs also available to borrow which was very useful and kind.

Refugio Surf Lodge in Tamarindo provides adults-only accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a bar. The bed and breakfast offers inner courtyard views, a sun terrace, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. This was one of our multiple stays in Costa Rica, and we were truly impressed. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped. Above all, the Refugio concept — which includes a beautiful café and a cozy bar offering excellent food and drinks — truly exceeded our expectations. Unlike at other accommodations, we didn't have to eat Gallo Pinto for breakfast every day, but could instead choose from a wide variety of delicious brunch options directly from the restaurant/bar. The staff were friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed — from arranging surf lessons to recommending great local restaurants. We were mainly in touch with Augustin, who took excellent care of us. Overall, we were delighted with our stay and can highly recommend this place.
