We have spent a fabulous week at Michamvi Sunset Bay and wished we could have stay longer. The resort was lovely -recently renovated, stunningly beautiful and just a perfect size to have enough space for all guests, while at the same time not feeling isolated. The rooms, restaurant, pool, all communal spaces and even the beach were all spotlessly clean. The beach bar is wonderful - the view is amazing and the drinks are great. Rooms are very spacious and are cleaned daily; all have private terraces or balconies - we have stayed in the ground floor which was very handy with 2 kids. We have opted for full board and have not regretted it for a moment, as the food was very tasty. Dinner is served in a different location every night. What really makes this place though is the staff- everyone was simply amazing, from the management through the reception, restaurant and bar staff, housekeeping, gardeners ... The whole team pampers the guests and makes them feel at home. Shirley cares about every detail and was always available to help with anything guests could need. Thank you for everything! We had a wonderful experience at this hotel located directly on the white and fine sand beach, very close (10 minutes walk on the beach) to a symbol of Zanzibar, The Rock restaurant. The location is perfect for those who want total relaxation and quick access to the turquoise water of the ocean. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, always ready to help us, always with a smile on their faces. The food was delicious and varied, with options to satisfy all tastes. The room was cleaned daily, and everything was always impeccable. The superb view of the Indian Ocean completes this unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this hotel for a dream vacation!

Almost everything!!! So quiet and remote here, we were the only guests so it was very peaceful. The staff are amazing and very helpful. The villa is comfortable and spacious

After the safari adventure, we spent four unforgettable days at Zawadi Hotel in Zanzibar this September. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at, and it deserves every bit of praise. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer beauty of the property. The entire area feels like a slice of paradise, with lush, manicured gardens and vibrant flowers creating a tranquil oasis. Every detail is carefully attended to, making the surroundings feel magical. The villas were absolutely spotless and beautifully designed, offering the perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The highlight of our stay, however, was the food. Every meal was served à la carte, and each dish was excellent—imaginative, delicious, and prepared with great care. Dining at Zawadi was a true culinary delight. The staff at Zawadi set a new standard for hospitality. From the warm and welcoming reception team, especially the lovely Noura, to the attentive F&B staff and even the gardeners, everyone we encountered was genuinely kind and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. One of the most memorable experiences was the guided tour through the gardens, which was both informative and enjoyable (feeding the donkey was almosts as exciting as safari!). We also loved the little touches, like sundowners served in our villa and the creative gin and tonic menu. Zawadi Hotel is a place we will never forget. It’s more than a hotel—it’s an experience. We’re already dreaming of returning and cannot recommend it highly enough. If you’re looking for a slice of paradise, Zawadi is the place to be.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Qambani and wanted to thank the manager, Maite, for her excellent service. From the moment we arrived, Maite made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She even recommended local attractions and made sure we had all the information we needed to make the most of our stay. Maite's attention to detail truly made our stay exceptional. Thank you so much for everything, Maite! We will definitely be returning to Qambani in the future.

This exclusive hotel (4 rooms in main house, 2 in adjacent villa) is located in Pingwe, which is right at the top of Paje beach. It is quiet, serene and absolutely beautiful. As soon as you enter the informal reception area you are floored by the paradise view. We had coconuts and Malibu on arrival and given an explanation of the property and area by the owner/manager Inga. We were told about the high/low tides and the sandbank across from the hotel, easily reachable by walking and some swimming at low tide, from which there were corals and snorkelling opportunities. The property provided sea shoes (to prevent stepping on sea urchins) and snorkelling gear. I had the best snorkelling of my life there and no one was around. The food provided by the adjacent restaurant of the same name had some excellent choices. The breakfast was good, although a couple of mishaps on the orders despite us writing it all down on the provided forms the day before. The atmosphere of the property is relaxed with lots of nice touches. Location is perfect for a quiet, restful, and stunning experience with the wonders of the sea. The sand and sea are wonderful here for swimming. We had previously been in the northern beaches around Kendwa which we found not as pleasant.
