This is a wonderful really comfy apartment - big, very clean, nicely furnitured, with lots of place for all the things you bring. There are 2 bedrooms (so noone had to sleep on the sofa), very well equpped kitchen and a balcony with a fantastic view on the city center and ocean behind. Very near (5 minutes walk) to historical centrum - still in a silent neighbourhood with all the shops needed a few meters from home. A nice underground parking place (very important thing in Funchal where are nearly no places to park) easy to find and to park. And last but not least - wonderful hosts, Christina and Ricardo, who make everything for you to feel like home ❤️. Our plane was to land at 1.10 am - but it was an hour late - we were soo sorry for them - and they greeted us with a big smile in the middle of the night (previously equipping the fridge with the product for late supper/ or early breakfast). We got from them many useful sightseeing suggestions and - as we were leaving the Easter Sunday our son got a big chocolate egg and was very glad. We already miss you and this beautiful place a lot - hope we come soon again!

Amazing room, with a view to die for. The ocean was right under our balcony, and the room we were allocated allowed us to watch both the sunrise AND the sunset - never happened to me before! Just like other places I've stayed at in Portugal, half of the staff was lovely and the other half gave the impression they would rather be spending their time elsewhere. Strange...

What an amazing experience, the hosts were such a lovely couple and could not be more accommodating. The van had everything we needed and they provided us with details of lovely places to stay which all had toilets close by, the van had a shower, and all other required facilities. The host gave us a welcome bottle of wine and some snacks which was so nice and picked us up from the airport, even though it was late.

"We had an amazing stay at this apartment! The host was incredibly kind and helpful, recommending several great places to visit during our trip. At checkout, we were even allowed to stay a bit longer without any hassle, which made our departure much more relaxed. The view from the terrace was stunning and truly added to the experience. Staying at The Reserve was an absolute dream come true. I was treated with the utmost care feeling like royalty. The room was a haven of comfort, featuring a private swimming pool with ocean views. One of the most memorable experiences was my trip to the airport in the hotel’s Rolls Royce. :) The journey was the perfect way to conclude my stay, leaving me feeling pampered and refreshed in the most luxurious style. The Reserve exceeded all my expectations making it an unforgettable experience.

    We stayed at Quinta Penha Franca do mar, the beautiful beachfront property with access to the ocean. Spacious rooms, interior a little outdated but comfortable beds (personal preferences for slightly harder mattresses). Breakfast choices a little limited but nice onsite restaurant that cooks tasty fish meals.

    The location is perfect, right on the beach with the constant sound of the sea. A short walk to the nearby fishing village which is lovely. You can walk to Funchal (takes about an hour)

    Combination of location and type of apartment. It is in the first line at the seaside, great bar, beach, but the badroom is quite. And you have also private terrace. A lot of equipments in apartment is great. Pillows, seats, kitchen etc., etc.

    property is right on the beach, with lovely ocean view from the balcony. apartment is clean and comfortable, equipped with all essential appliances. beds are a bit hard for my liking, but overall it was comfortable and nice stay. property has a decent size pool, with direct exit to the pebbly beach.
