It was a lovely cottage, beautifully furnished. It had everything we needed and more. The bathroom was amazing with a wonderful bath and separate shower. We enjoyed using the barbecue and the stunning views across the bay. The pantry and fridge were well stocked with jams, eggs, vogel and chocolate. It was the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in and we were sorry to leave.

Te Mata Lodge is set amongst 10 acres of private landscaped gardens, 20 minutes' drive from Thames and Te Mata Bay. BBQ facilities and kayaks are provided. Guests enjoy 1 GB of free WiFi per day.

Brilliant place to stay. Plenty of space. Kitchen was like being at home. Nice and quiet location in the country , only evening noise were cows and a morepork (owl). Friendly owners. The fresh laid eggs were great. This is why we returned to stay here again, after staying here on our last trip to NZ 5 years ago.
