My 3 sons and I liked the entire apartment/flat. It's clean, spacious, and in a safe neighbourhood. There's also a small but adequate front yard that's also private from the main house for entertainment.

Larry is an amazing host, friendly and very accommodating. Room was very clean, bed very comfy, linen and towels exceptionally clean and changed frequently. The swimming pool is set in idyllic surroundings and the garden is immaculate. Location is perfect for any holiday or business stay and a quiet neighborhood. Peanut, the house cat is extremely friendly and affectionate and just made our stay extra special. Thank you Larry, Peanut, and staff, we will definitely visit Fields Rest on our next trip to PE. Best regards and commendations. Nicos

When coming from the Port Elizabeth airport this is the perfect place to stay! The property feels very safe and spacious, the room was clean and comfortable (huge bed), the breakfast is great and the owner Tracy went above and beyond to make us feel welcome :). Tracy is super responsive online, helped us arrange smooth transportation from the airport and she even picked us up herself from the nearby restaurant back to the guest house at night. We are very happy we stayed here and would definitely recommend staying here.

The staff was super attentive and arranged everything we needed: from pick-up/drop-off to the airport to early check-in and beverages while waiting. They also provided us with a super nice early take-away breakfast at 5:30 AM. The owners were super nice and helpful. The room was very spacious, clean and comfy. Very comfortable house, clean fresh linen, comfortable bed, loved the tv in the main bedroom. I didn't like cameras inside the house. The water pressure in the shower was very low. The microwave wasn't working. Couldnt access back yard cause there was no key.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lloyd Road Cottage in Gqeberha during a challenging time, as I was had to undergo from surgery at Life St George’s Hospital, which is located within a very comfortable distance from Lloyd Road Cottage. From the moment I arrived, Carol and her husband went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. The cottage itself is a gem! Spotlessly clean, spacious, and beautifully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The peaceful, well-maintained garden is a lovely retreat, and their adorable cat, Sneakers, adds a charming, homely touch. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the care and kindness shown by Carol and her husband. They treated me with such warmth and professionalism, making sure I had everything I needed. Carol even left me some delicious soup the night I was discharged from the hospital - a small gesture that meant the world to me in my recovery. The property is located in a safe, quiet area and offers excellent amenities like free WiFi, private parking, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The comfort of a private entrance, a pool, and easy access to outdoor seating in the beautiful garden added to the relaxing experience. I can’t recommend Lloyd Road Cottage enough for anyone needing a home away from home, whether for leisure, business or even a hospital visit like myself. Carol and her husband are exceptional hosts, and I’m so grateful for their hospitality during my stay.

The general degradation of SA coastal towns is evident and is costing the economy hundreds of millions as tourists are put off by high crime rates, poor service in some shops and municipal lethargy. Water restrictions are in place due to poor planning by unqualified municipal executives. Municipalities need to raise standards by hiring people who can prove their effectiveness and have qualifications and/or experience with testimonials. MacArthur pool was empty. Indifference seems to be the order of the day. Makro is a great store to visit. Addo game park is also recommended. Cape Recife is a great drive. The weather was warm and traffic flowed well.

This is a prime example of how Africa is doomed.

This is a prime example of how Africa is doomed. You can still see how beautiful that city was before the ANC took over and all of that beauty and the lifetimes of effort that went into creating it lies in wasted ruins.

Walmer is conveniently located for access to the airport and major roads for travellers. It has a wide range of restaurants close to the property. It has very good shopping facilities within easy reach. If you don't have your own car, Uber is always available. Although not on the sea front, it is only a few minutes drive to beaches, the harbour, golf courses, St George's Park for cricket etc.

The beach was incredible, with perfect weather, and the property’s location near the beachfront was ideal. We ordered from Mozambik, and the food was fantastic. The property was spacious, well-equipped with beautiful amenities, spotless, and very comfortable for sharing with children. Having three TVs in a two-bedroom setup was a great touch. Truly excellent value for money.

Driving in Gqebera is always a blissful experience. The well-maintained tarred roads make every journey smooth and enjoyable. It's a refreshing change from the usual bumps and potholes found in my hometown, and it truly enhances the overall driving experience in the area.

Very busy area due to a lot of attractions in this area, there was somewhat partying going on around the beaches (Drinking and smoking weed) but also there was a majority of Family orientated people which made the few party people seem more under control. The Tides are very low it is such a relaxing ocean to swim in.
