Our stay was incredible, 5 star luxury from start to finish. The food was amazing, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the rooms had everything we needed. Maria and Reinhardt were extremely kind and helpful with anything we needed and provided great information on Kruger NP and surrounding area. All of the staff were kind and no ask was too much. I highly highly recommend.

I had a wonderful time at the African Rock lodge as I was welcomed with so much kindness by Sander, Julia & Family! The rooms and the bathroom are very big and cosy perfect for relaxation after and before game drives! They rooms were very clean and the service was brilliant! I loved staying in the pool during then day and relax around this beautiful place. The area is a safe one with lots of possibilities to go for a run and see animals in the wild ! Loved this family owned business that is not too big and humble! They are really taking care of their guests! I loved that. It was a wonderful time at African Rock Lodge! Stay 3 nights and you will be able to fully indulge in this place. I would always come back.

The location within the wildlife park was excellent. It was only a short walk to one of the dams where a wide variety of bird and animal life could be observed. The location was also perfect as a base to explore Kruger National Park, which is less than 1 hours drive away. Spending time within the property was a pleasure. It was unfenced, which meant that we were treated to regular visits from warthogs, dwarf mongoose, several species of antelope and abundant birdlife. The decor was plain yet perfectly functional. All of the rooms were large and spacious. The kitchen was well appointed. The property was designed for outdoor living with extensive dining space, nice pool, braai area and decking areas for relaxing. it was just lovely being able to sit in the comfort of the stoup soak in the atmosphere and observe the amazing wildlife. We would definitely return. The hosts were very attentive and quickly dealt with anything issue we raised.
