There are only a few eating places close by the hotel but Captain Loizos tavern was excellent. A large choice on the menu and each one so good. "We experienced deeply disappointing service during our stay at this hotel. Despite clearly specifying our vegan dietary preferences, we were served non-vegetarian breakfast options, which felt like a blatant disregard for our needs. The promised hot tub was unavailable throughout our four-day stay, with the hotel manager offering only excuses after check-in. Breakfast options were severely limited, and the absence of daily room cleaning further detracted from our experience. We also faced repeated issues with hot water for bathing, and upon arrival, we found that neither the washroom nor the room was properly secured or functional, despite our four-day booking. Located in a remote area, this hotel was highly inconvenient, requiring us to spend 50-60 euros daily just to access food or basic necessities. As an HVAC engineer, I found the manager’s claim of 'technical issues' with the heat pump for the hot tub unconvincing—there was no credible reason for it, suggesting cost-cutting rather than genuine problems. Had the owner or manager informed us of these issues beforehand, we could have canceled and chosen a different property. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. Third time to the island of Santorini. Twice to Kamari. Beautiful beach. Amazing atmosphere. Spoilt for choice for restaurants and things to do. Can be as high or low budget as you wish. We spent two weeks on the island in Fira, We stayed one week on the east side and one week on the west side. The east side of the island is quieter. You need to walk to shops and restaurants - uphill, so lots of cardio! We stayed at Hill Suites. A lovely, relaxing and private accommodation with a perfect lanai breakfast every morning. Thomas, the manager was an excellent host! The second week we spent on the caldera side. Very busy!!!! Shops and restaurants surround you. No cars here. Streets are lovely, narrow, winding paths leading you from one surprise to another. Everywhere the views are stunning! The best resource on the island is the bus terminal located in Fira. This terminal is a hub and spoke terminal. All buses leave and return to this terminal each trip. You can go anywhere for 2 euros one way. An excellent way to see the island! The buses run frequently so if you miss one, don't worry there will be another shortly. They also service the airport! Across the street from the bus depot is the Museum. A must see after you have visited the excavations at Akrotiri at the south end of the island. Really, find yourself a spot to sit and enjoy a beverage while taking in the view and watching the activities around you. Remember to breathe. Relax. Enjoy.Guest review byKathrynCanada - 10.0

Liked that it was away from Fira. Fira so crowded. One day 6 cruise ships in Port. We ate 2 nights at Romantica taverna. Traditional Greek restaurant, good food and happy staff.
