I have no idea why the previous reviews are so poor. We are locals who had to have a stay over for a medical appointment, and the cabin is exactly what it looks like in the photos. There is no bedding- a fact that is made clear on the booking.com website and in the email we received from the park directly. A previous poster criticised there being no kettle. There is a kettle, located in the kitchenette area. There is no accommodation for 5 people available on Shetland at this price, so what you see is what you get. If you are after something 4 *, go and stay in the Lerwick Hotel for £300+ a night.

Chalet was self catering and had everything we needed from kitchen utensils, to bed linen and towels. Outside was plenty of parking spaces, a landscaped garden up the side of the hill and the host had their studio and craft shop on site, where you can purchase a variety of items: paintings, resin jewellery, buttons, postcards, gifts, hanging mobiles etc The garden and workshop were certainly an added bonus to our stay at the chalet, will definately return

The accommodation was spacious and welcoming with lots of information provided on local attractions and things to do. We used the washing machine and air-drying rack which was great. We also cooked a simple meal. The accommodation was in a quiet area but still walkable to a supermarket and a restaurant for dinner. We parked directly out front. The distance to the main part of town is too far to walk, but we had a car, and parking in town was easy and free.

The location was close to town, quiet and near to a supermarket with easy access to the highway. Our host and hostess were readily available to help with any questions or concerns. They prepared basic supplies for our arrival. The cottage is spacious, bright, beautifully decorated and well maintained. We wish we could have stayed longer!
