Next to Edinburgh Airport, the award-winning Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Airport offers a chargeable 24-hour shuttle service and rooms with showers. Central Edinburgh is 15 minutes’ drive away. We booked the hotel to rest for one night because of a late-evening flight. The place is conveniently located near the airport, and the shuttle bus to and from the hotel operates 24 hours. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed and kudos for Dove cosmetics products in the bathroom 😁 Despite the proximity to the airport, the room was quiet. Breakfast was great.

Featuring garden views, Craigiehall Temple provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 6.1 km from Edinburgh Zoo. Because I read these reviews before traveling, I booked an extra night at this remarkable property. They sent me this review to fill out for my second booking and I will use it to continue to sing the praises of this unique stay. If you want to feel like royalty, stay here your last nights before flying out of EDI Airport. If you always look up when you hear an airplane engine, this is a little spot of heaven. The property is equipped with a central sound system for those who aren't thrilled with the sound of planes, so no worries about noise pollution intruding upon the peace and tranquility. If you have the soul of a daydreamer .... book this property and you will never regret your choice! I didn't get to light fires in the two fireplaces so a return trip is due to experience that bit of magic! Many thanks to the incredible hosts for making this property available to the hopeless romantics and perpetual daydreamers of the world....

Set amongst 1000 acres of beautiful parkland with two 18-hole golf courses, this historic country hotel, built in 1725, offers luxurious spa and leisure facilities, and informal and fine dining... Beautiful grounds, fantastic service and breakfast was lovely too.
This is an airport hotel. In an industrial area. Great for travelling from/to airport. Overnight stays between travel to refresh/rest for onward travel. Good to watch the aircraft take off. We saw about 4 in the space of 10mins.
Queensferry is a lovely place to walk around. There are lots of excellent restaurants and coffee shops. I had lunch at the Railbridge Bistro and a lovely dinner at the Thirty Knots restaurant. There are nice little shops to browse in. Queensferry is very near Edinburgh and there is an excellent train service into the city from Dalmeny Station.
Not much in Ratho, the canal is a particular favourite as lots of activity and it’s quite picturesque. Easy access to Edinburgh scenery is fabulous and if it’s a quiet time you want then this is the place to go.
The hotel is convenient for terminal and has adequate car parking space. The staff are helpful and appropriate. The restaurant is convenient with a good menu choice for dinner, and the breakfast buffet choice adequate and well refreshed as required.

This was perfect for me as a landing place close to the airport for one night. I felt completely safe walking all around on my own and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again.
