The tatami-room was elegant and cozy. We were happy to enjoy the hospitality of the host family. Arigatou gouzaimasu!

The dinner was amazing - there was a station where the staff prepares a small dish on the spot for you. The onsen was eye-opening to say the least. It is located beside a stream / forest, and it was refreshing to soak in the onsen while listening to the stream flow by.

The countryside location is beautiful, and the traditional-style rooms are spacious and comfortable. Makoto-san is a gracious host and an excellent cook. The dinner and breakfast were marvelous, with an assortment of local specialties and treats. I will be thinking about the delicious sweet potato cake served with breakfast for quite awhile!

Probably the best place I've stayed for years.
