AL hawiyah camp is situated in Ḩawīyah and has a heated pool and inner courtyard views. Staff were the standout especially Kumar. Location and remoteness differentiated this property from other desert resorts in the same category. Rooms were very comfortable.

Featuring panoramic views of the beach through the large glass windows, Sur Grand Hotel offers offers a relaxing roof top pool. Each room features a beautiful view of the beach. I say this from the bottom of my heart that I could not recommend another hotel more than Sur Grand Hotel! We had 2 flat tires an hour out of sur at midnight. Hotel had 24 hour reception, Hussein picked up within a few rings and was so reassuring, chartered a taxi back for us and arranged for everything the next day to help us fix our tires even though it was a weekend. Owner of hotel even came down to send his regard and make sure we were ok. Truly wonderful experience of Omani hospitality! Other than that, room was impeccable, had a free upgrade with balcony view, breakfast was sumptuous

The Best Western Sur is located in the picturesque city of Sur, famous as an old fishing village and traditional manufacturer of dhows. The hotel is very nice, well-maintaned and rooms spacious and comfy. The breakfast was unbeliavable with everything possible to choose from. Really nice staff and plenty of parking spots right in front of the hotel

Arabian Nights Resort & Spa features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a terrace and bar in Shāhiq. The resort offers both free WiFi and free private parking. A really nice resort in the desert. The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. The pool is great for refreshing dip. We drove there ourselves, it is not hard to find or drive through the desert, the only thing is you have to know how much to deflate the tires. It is useful to have a portable air compressor.

Located in Ibrā, فندق المستقبل للشقق الفندقية ALMUSTAQBAL HOTEL Apartments features a shared lounge. The property features mountain and city views. The reception staff was very friendly and offered to wake us up during the evening if the giant turtles were seen on the beach and a guide to provide us to view on location. We used the pool that was quite good after a long drive. Breakfast was exceptional and staff encouraged us to take along some fruit that we had not consumed during the sitting. The morning of our departure we saw a baby turtle that had hatched during the night and wandered the wrong way from the sea.

Boasting a garden, a year-round outdoor pool and quiet street views, Golden Palm Oasis is set in Fulayj al Mashāʼikh. The property has mountain and garden views. Perfect location right between awesome sand dunes. Exceptionally friendly and helpfull staff! Other guests were very nice. The atmosphere is relaxed, pleasant and private. Tea and coffee making facilities are available on demand. They make buffet for dinner, the variety of choice is really good for a desert, but sometimes some food was too salty or spicy. Fresh fruits and arabian coffee with dates were available along the day at reception. The dinner is late, after 8 pm, but you can have tea with sweets at the fireplace and chill after sunset. Breakfast starts after 8: english breakfast, fruits, hummus, cereals. There is a kids' playground and toys for playing in sand and toy car. Our toddler was absolutely happy and enjoyed every minute of our stay. This place can be easily accessed by a small sedan (Hundai Accent). Follow the hotels' instruction, don't believe google navigator.

Located in the middle of Sharqiya Sands of Oman’s Empty Quarter, Arabian Oryx Camp offers a Bedouin experience in the desert. Dune and sunset tours impressed. Nice half day tour. Amazing food. Amazing rooms. Amazing location. Helpful transportation from town to the camp (we couldn't take our rental into the Sands). Freedom to walk up the dunes at night on your own (I went out for astrophotography).
