Situated next to Marimba Park, this modern hotel offers free Wi-Fi, free private parking and a small gym. Great location near Parque de la Marimba, where you can enjoy beautiful live marimba music played by a full orchestra—it’s a wonderful experience. The rooms are clean, and there’s a small but well-equipped gym with a treadmill, bike, elliptical, and some dumbbells. Breakfast is nice, though I wish they had ketchup! Secure parking is available. The security guard was especially helpful, friendly, and spoke English. When we checked in, the lady at the front desk didn’t speak English, but she was still very kind and welcoming. Overall, a great stay.

Set within 6.7 km of Palenque Ruins and 2 km of Aluxes EcoPark & Zoo, Los Susurros. Casa features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Palenque. Immensly fabulous place, close to the nature but with respective level of services. Strongly recommended for people who loves nature, animals and stronie voces from the jungle.

City Express by Marriott Comitán is set in Comitán de Domínguez, 47 km from Lagunas de Montebello National Park and 43 km from Chinkultic Archeological Zone. We booked this hotel last minute because of a road block to San Cristobal. Lady at the desk was more than happy to help and contact our other hotel. The rooms were very modern and spacious, very nice! Good and fast wifi! Including a breakfast buffet with enough options (toast, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, potatoes, chips, muffins, fresh fruit). The hotel is right next to the mall, so easy to go there too.
