The service, friendliness, and atmosphere were absolutely exceptional. Everything felt perfectly balanced professional yet genuinely warm. A few people made the experience truly unforgettable. Dananjaya was always helpful, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. He really made my stay more enjoyable with his positive energy. Mlhirini had such a kind and welcoming presence. She constantly made sure I had everything I needed and was always up for a nice conversation. So caring and attentive. Roshan, the manager, is a truly kind person. Under his leadership, the service was simply outstanding. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for real hospitality and excellent service, this is the place. I’ll definitely come back!

Beautiful property with lovely rooms. The roof top bar and pool was a highlight with amazing views. The gym is also well equipped and new. The breakfast buffet is amazing, all the food you can think of and more. Loved the friendly staff too.

And the surrounding scenery was simply awe-inspiring. We spent hours marveling at the picturesque landscapes, capturing the beauty in photos and etching the memories deep within our hearts. Simpson's Forest - Luxury Boutique Resort & Spa - Kandy has free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and garden in Kandy. We had a very pleasant stay at Simpson’s. As usual in Sri Lanka the kindness of the staff is beyond anything. We had a great room with views of the mountains. The infinity pool is breathtaking. We also did one of the hikes that they offered in the morning and learned about the estate. The food does not look like the one advertised but it’s still good. This hotel has by far the fastest WiFi in all of the island. It’s great value for the price!

Seldom in all of my travels have I encountered a place so welcoming, comfortable, peaceful, with kind hosts and great meals at such a super affordable price. Staying here is a sheer delight, in a quiet neighborhood next to the Mahaweli River in an architectural home on four levels, with lots of space to be as solitary or as social as you care to be. And the home-cooked meals (breakfast was provided as part of the room rate) were simply exceptional, with generous portions and great desserts. Just an outstanding experience!

They took the time to explain each dish, where the ingredients come from, and how everything is made. You can tell they truly care about what they do. The food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and made with care. Every dish had the perfect balance of spices and home-style cooking, making the meal unforgettable. What made the dinner even more special was the personal touch, with thoughtful presentation and warm conversations with the hosts. It was more than just a meal; it was a true taste of Sri Lankan hospitality. The accomodation is spacious, well appointed, clean and well presented. If you're looking for stay and authentic, home-cooked meal in a peaceful and welcoming setting, I highly recommend a stay at Kandy Calm Residence.
