Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. We were traveling around Iceland and this horel was the best one. Hotel is located in wonderful nature by the lake, but only few minutes drive from Egillstadir. Staff is very kind and friendly. Breakfast was very good and fresh.

Great location, friendly staff and really good breakfast. Our little cottage was incredibly cosy and perfect for our 1-night-stay. There is a tiny church and cemetery on the grounds which adds an interesting/historical touch.

Our room was the last one (Number 11 or 12, can't remember) and being on the corner It has 2 windows with a lot of light. There are 3 huge toilets with showers, very clean and organized. We didn't use the shared living room and kitchen but they seemed tò be very comfortable. You Need tò leave the shoes at the guesthouse entrance (Icelandic habit) so Better have comfy shoes tò put on/off. breakfast was Amazing. Both restaurants and rooms are very very hot (we were here in August) so better dress in layers.

There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay.... We stayed in the apartment and it was lovely and well-appointed. The little patio area in front was so nice since we were blessed with a beautiful day. Sitting outside with a coffee and watching and listening to the birds in the meadow right outside was delightful. We had been in Bakkagerdi earlier in the evening to view the puffins (1 million stars/10 on that experience) and this was the perfect place to spend the night, since it was less than an hour from there but also gave us a little bit of a head start on our clockwise ring road journey for the next day's travels.

What a location!!! Unique. Very atmospheric, good restaurant, very cool and accommodating staff. Fellow travellers were really awed when we arrived.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. The room was large and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpy

Lovely hotel that was recently renovated. The rooms are very nice and clean. Kind and helpful personnel. The location is amazing, you can enjoy the quiet and beauty of Iceland.

A good location for a relaxing stay in Vopnafjörður, Ásbrandsstadir Cottages is a holiday home surrounded by views of the lake. Simple room but very comfortable stay. Shared kitchen for camping Friendly owners and very beautiful view. There is a playground
