The lady who owns the hotel is the manager, she is a smart and educated person and she is very generous as she made our stay very comfortable, and she went beyond that with her generosity to us when I wanted to ask for a taxi she said to me (I am going and I will take you on my way) and indeed she took us with her in her car to our destination. In Athlone's lively centre, this 4-star Sheraton Hotel has a 20-metre pool, a luxury spa, free internet and free parking. Such a comfortable room, loved the pool, loved the breakfast and all the staff were very helpful abd friendly. It was just the type of stay that we needed after a few stressful days of travelling in a foreign country.

Nestled in Monksland, a residential suburb of Athlone town, The Athlone Springs Hotel is less than a 6-minute drive from Athlone town centre. I was astounded when I walked into the room and saw the lounge area, huge TV, lovely bedroom and large bathroom. On checkout I was told I had been upgraded to the presidential suite, which was amazing. Breakfast was buffet style, with all you could ask for. A wonderful stay.
