On the shores of Killary Harbour lies Ireland's oldest coaching inn. Dating from 1796, you'll find traditional home cooking, antique furniture and the most spectacular views in Ireland. We had a great stay at Leenane Hotel. It's a very well maintained place with great rooms, excellent food and friendly staff. It's also dog friendly which is a rare thing in the area. What really stood out as well - the price we paid was more than fair.

Standing at the head of Cashel Bay, this hotel is set in 50 acres of award-winning gardens and woodlands. Cashel House offers luxurious bedrooms, fine dining and a private beach. The Cashel house is in a beautiful remote location and in a very quiet private area. The house has this old charm and at the same time nicely updated modern rooms. We got aa free upgrade and really enjoyed our stay at the Cashel House!

Surrounded by private parkland on the shores of the Atlantic, Renvyle House features a golf course, swimming pool and award-winning restaurant. The location is amazing, nestle in a cove by the fjords is an idyllic setting. Service, food, people very friendly and welcoming, the best thing for me was the peat fire burning In guests areas and the lobby.

Situated in Lettermullan in the Galway County region, Audley's features a garden. The property has sea and garden views, and is 41 km from Spiddal. What did I like? Well, we LOVED absolutely everything! - from the perfect communication (super-detailed - everyone should communicate like that) to the 'Welcome Croissants' and batch of ice per person! The place was flawless and immaculate, with every possible facility/appliance you could imagine. 4 spacey bedrooms with big, comfy beds, huge living room - bread, sauces, spices, classy cutlery, great bathroom (shower with easy access), anything you could possibly think of! The place is in a beautiful area - perfect for those looking for something special and not crowded, to reboot, re-charge and just breathe! I went with my parents for their 40th Wedding Anniversary and we loved it instantly - each bit and every moment, wish we stayed longer but had a really busy schedule. We had a lovely walk to the near Foirnis Island, beautiful views, we are really glad we have chosen Audley's and recommend to absolutely everyone, especially those seeking serenity. THE NEW STANDARD! THANK YOU, MAUREEN! :)))

Ballynahinch Castle Hotel in County Galway is set within 700 acres of woodland, with the beautiful backdrop of the 12 Bens Mountain range. The excellent restaurant holds 2 AA Rosettes. Ballynahinch is the real deal! We, as visitors, really wanted to treat ourselves to a stay at a "Castle Hotel", and we truly had a wonderful stay. Just fantastic. I would go again in a heartbeat. In contrast, we stayed at an unrelated castle hotel very near Donegal Town, at about the same price point, and it was disappointing. That other place was basically just a large quite generic hotel with a fancy old-looking stone facade and fountain out front. Pretty fake. No comparison. Ballynahinch is the gold standard! In fact, it was the best single element of our 15-day Irish holiday.
