Featuring garden views, Brisas del Aeropuerto Airport Breezes inn features accommodation with patio, around 40 km from Poas National Park. Lovely staff who booked us a taxi and were very patient and understanding when our late night flight was delayed even further. Delicious traditional Costa Rican breakfast, lovely courtyard, felt very safe and clean, comfy, spacious. I even did 20 mins of yoga in the bathroom in the morning - it was that big! Well located, just a 15 min drive from SJO.

A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

Situated in Heredia, 10 km from Juan Santamaria International Airport, Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Farm and Inn features accommodation with a farm to table restaurant, spring-fed hillside infinity... This place was amazing. The workers were very friendly and attentive, and the resort itself is beautiful. They also do an amazing job with the landscaping, so you feel like you’re in the middle of the jungle. The food was great and we loved the coffee hour and banana bread! We also did the coffee farm tour, which was amazing! The tour guide was so knowledgeable and talked a lot about their sustainable farming practices.

Mirador Prendas has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Sarapiquí. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. This place is...magical. I felt like Alice in Wonderland the whole time. It's the baby of a CR artist who bought the land in the 80s. His artist friends all wanted to come and visit, so he had to make more room. All by himself and his friends. And then more artists from all over came, helped with the build and left their mark everywhere- murals, sculpures, whatever. And I have this from the horse's mouth, as we had the privilege to meet both the owner and his grandson in person. Oh, to have been a fly on the wall back then...And the drive up there is amazing as well. This place is mindblowing.

The large natural area is amazing with many bird species. Dining staff were helpful. Grounds staff showed us an Owl and told us about a tree.
